Great fire starter for my Kamado grill. Breaks apart cleaning every time, easy to light, and lasts plenty long to make sure the charcoal is lit.

Once lit, they last a solid 5+ minutes to help light your charcoal in a chimney. But to get it lit, you will have to use a lighter or torch and hold it to the edge, not the top of the block. And it will take up to 15 seconds to catch. So it’s a bit slow. Very little bad smoke from the igniter but the charcoal will vary.

I find these stay lit longer than some of the other brands I've tried. We have a wood stove and with hard wood in the stove it sometimes takes longer than with soft wood. These are my go-to now.

My package arrived open on one end. The sealing tape didn't hold it closed. Fortunately all the 9roduct was in the box. This was more expensive to buy on line than in the store. I only bought it on line because u was out and the local stores are stocking things for springtime and weren't carrying these right now, I love these for starting my Woodstock fires, but I'm going with a pellet stove for next year and won't be needing these anymore. . Great product 5 stars, maybe 3 stars for the shipping tape .

Doesn't smell, a box will last me a year, the last piece will light as easily as the first. Just ordered my third box.
Wonderful eco safe product
Wonderful eco safe product . I use a couple of small squares to light my wood stove.. in place of kindling. I use a little crumpled paper and two squares of these fire starter cubes, tucked under a criss cross of a couple, med. sized dry split fir firewood.. and works like a charm. Stays hot burning for about ten minutes .. to get the firewood ignited , nicely. Great purchase.

Love this stuff. Cheap and often I only need one piece to get my fire going. Really burns good for about 7 minutes! I have never tried them wet but they work great out of the box and they are cheap!
