It kills bad mouth bacteria and actually creates an environment that prevents it from coming back. Some other toothpastes may do the first part, but don't do the last part. Furthermore, normal toothpastes with SLS dry out the mouth making it MORE habitable for bad bacteria. It also completely cures "white tongue". I thought my tongue was just naturally kind of white-ish pink, but it's not! It's regular pink! Gross!! You just apply a thin layer of toothpaste across your tongue, wait a minute, spit out/scrape/brush off and all that white stuff comes off. Honestly, most of it comes of without having to scrape or brush but you should if you can tolerate it. PLUS! It's a really mild flavor, kinda sweet in a way? At first I was kind of concerned about it not covering up my breath, but my breath smells like nothing! Like it's supposed to! You can use the blue kind if you want the mint smell. I bought this because of a medication-induced dry mouth/ bad breath problem. My mouth feels cleaner than it did before those problems. Biggest plus! It's vegan and completely safe to ingest in small amounts. Obviously don't do that on purpose, but it's nice to know.

Updated 6/12/2015: This toothpaste combined with using the TUNG Brush (from Peak Essentials) works amazingly well for fresh/neutral breath and a clean tongue!!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I received my product on time and it looks identical to the one that was advertised.As for the taste - I did not find it unpleasant but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites. It's definitely a different taste I've never experienced before but I do have to say that after brushing my teeth and mouth with it, I was not afraid to be too close to someone's face. This toothpaste isn't near as thick as standard toothpaste so use only what you really need to. My tube seems to be going quite quickly and that's probably because I brush twice in one session.Therabreath toothpaste is not gritty and you can switch the paste between your teeth very easily, which I like and then follow-up with the Therabreath mouth rinse.I would recommend this product to anyone!

I get canker sores A LOT so I wanted to try this out. I can't say for certain, since I do still get canker sores, but I think I get them with less frequency since I began using this toothpaste a few months ago.

Tried it immediately after dinner & it works!As others stated, it doesn't foam like 3rd party toothpastes but it does clean good when used with a dry brush. I also use a tongue scraper, tongue brush and rinse with oregano oil mouthwash ( alcohol free ) to ensure longer lasting fresh breath.I know it works because when I use other toothpastes with the same routine an unpleasant odor still lingers. When I replaced the toothpaste with this one the odor was gone.Bad breath can emanate from the teeth, stomach, tongue, cavities or nose so if this doesn't work for you look into addressing these other possibilities before assuming this doesn't work.

I've tried TheraBreath before some years ago. I don't recall whether it worked for me then as I did not follow the directions. Using the product correctly can be a bit tedious. I have not noticed a change in my breath for the better. However, I no longer have any weird tastes/smells in my mouth. Whenever I use other toothpastes, especially those with baking soda, there's an unpleasant taste in my mouth and a fish like smell (yeah, I know, eww!). Others have not stated whether or not this product takes a while to work or if it works immediately. I've used this product for about two weeks now and I can't say that I'm confident enough to talk face-to-face with someone. Hopefully that changes, but I can say that I no longer have a weird or metallic taste in my mouth. Lastly, this is the cheapest vendor I could find!

I reviewed this previously several years ago. I am still in love of this product. A friend commented on my bad breath despite me flossing and brushing regularly.This along with the Therma Breath Mouth Rinse did the trick after a weeks use. The paste and rinse are now my daily staples. And when I buy in bulk and get free shipping, the price is reasonable.

First time in many months I've brushed my teeth without burning pain. I have a sore in my mouth which does not heal. After I brush my teeth with regular toothpaste my mouth and particularly my tongue feel as though they are burning. I'm not having that happen with this toothpaste. Wonderful.

I have porcelain veneers on my top teeth but not on my bottom teeth so I need a soft toothpaste that gets my teeth clean but will not scratch my veneers. This gel toothpaste is good for fresh breath, shiny teeth and a really clean feeling.
