The media could not be loaded. Though the paper is standard quality texture and thickness, it takes charcoal and ink quite well and is just fine for everyday sketching. The charcoal can brush lightly across the surface with some pleasing results, and when you erase, there is no ugly residue or marring of the paper. Ink just flows on, also without dripping through to the other side. I will enjoy using this sketch pad for daily sketch practice and for making light sketches to transfer to watercolor paper before painting.

This pad is exactly what I thought it would be for my 5yo who is going through printer paper like it’s free, with one exception. They insist on KEEPING all of these random drawings, so I thought it would be easier to just buy a book to keep them all together and with this book, they rip out as soon as you gently turn the page.
