I really just need some texture and thickness in my hair so it doesn't frizz. I use this daily and have ordered many times. The cost seems crazy, but most of the similar products cost about the same. So, until Bolo Basics makes a similar product, this one is for me. It isn't greasy, dries quickly, and just adds some texture to your hair. It also has a light, pleasant smell.

This stuff comes as a white cream holding all of the original scent that drew us to the Crew brand years ago (before they changed the formulation for the shampoo and conditioner because of a little thing like causing cancer or something). Rub this stuff in, and you're going to smell it for an hour or two. If you put it in your hair, and leave it untouched, you'll get a TAD bit of crispy gel effect. But if you put it in, let it dry for a bit, and then comb or handle your hair with your fingers or something, your hair will have the hold without the crispiness of a gel and it'll smell fantastic. If you're not familiar with the Crew original scent, it's something like the Boots No. 7 men's hair care shampoo. It's not a citrus scent. It's not a musk scent. It's not an old timer smell. It's just kind of clean and smooth smelling. On my thinning grey hair, it goes on a little greasy feeling fresh out of the shower, but it dries up nicely and I don't even really mind the scent of it lingering on my hands. I almost want to dab it on my neck like an aftershave. It's got less hold than a pomade or texture paste, but I have pretty short cut hair that gets super frizzy and once this stuff has dried and i've smoothed it out a bit with my hands, my hair looks like a cross between Sampson and older George Clooney. I'd not only recommend it - I hope they make it until I die so I can keep using it. I also think that this stuff may reverse my aging and force the hair to grow out of my receding forehead out of pure respect for the product.

Been looking for a product for my thinning hair to add texture. Gel is too strong, this cream adds texture while still looking natural and easy to apply. Not sticky at all and smells great.

Love the texture and hold. Works great and not overly sticky. The big problem I have is that it smells like fish. Just awful. Maybe I got a bad batch, but smells really horrible.
