I've been trying to switch to organic foods as much as possible - especially for grains!! I learned recently that many non-organic grains are sprayed with glyphosate (Roundup) right before harvest - in order TO harvest them! Basically unethical farming companies are using a weed-killer, not to kill weeds, but in order to get the grains to hurry up (by dessicating them), so the companies can harvest them faster. (Please research more on your own - this is just my novice explanation of the process. It's well worth researching!!) Because the grains are sprayed with Roundup just a couple days before harvest, we as consumers are eating those nasty and harmful chemicals! Thus my switch to as much organic food as possible. Oats and grains in particular are often sprayed with Roundup, so I have really been searching for affordable organic oats. It's been hard for me to find organic oats for a reasonable price in grocery stores / health food stores, so I started looking online! Target also has this brand at a comparable price, but because Target has a minimum purchase cost for shipping, it's much better (and easier) for me to buy them through Bolo! :) These oats have a great taste and texture - highly recommended!! I use them for oatmeal of course, and also for making cashew-oat waffles, apple crisp, etc. They function just like the oats you'd buy at a grocery store, but I know these organic ones are MUCH healthier for me!! This will definitely be my go-to brand in the future!

If you love oatmeal and use it a lot, this is the only way to go! We use several of the Nature's Path organic cereal products. All are very good quality and have great tastes. They are fairly priced tor organic products. Well worth trying and better for us than most of the "sugar" bombs on supermarket shelves.

We like this brand. We luv the flavor & the texture. It doesn't turn to mush, after you cook it. I especially like that IT'S ORGANIC. Nature's Path does not use harmful toxic chemicals/pesticides or fertilizers to grow or process this product. We buy it in bulk for a good price thru Bolo. We are repeat buyers who reorder often. Not only do we eat it for breakfast most mornings, we also incorporate it into our smoothies. And, we use these old fashioned 100% whole grain rolled oats to make delicious & nutritious recipes. We make THE best potato latkes by adding some oatmeal & corn flakes to the recipe. Oatmeal is SO good for you. It can help lower your cholesterol & it's heart healthy. It's easy & fast to prepare, either in the microwave or on the stovetop. For creamier oatmeal, add milk instead of water. You can add honey, raisins, cranberries, cinnamon, ground flax, ground chia, ground hemp seeds...the options are endless.

These steel-cut oats make the heartiest, most delicious oatmeal:Put 1 1/2 cups water and 1/2 tsp salt, brought to a full boil in a small saucepan on high; turn to low-medium heat.Add 1/2 cup oats to the water, stir well, and stir again about every 30 seconds to a minute.While the oats cook, fill a 1/4 cup measure 2/3 with dried cranberries (craisins) and 1/3 with sliced almonds. Dump into the bottom of a good-sized bowl (I prefer thicker ceramic bowls because regular bowls are too thin and easily become too hot to hold) along with honey to taste (I use a scant tablespoon).When the oats are fairly thick (about 5 minutes), turn off the heat and pour the oatmeal on top of the craisins, almonds, and honey in the bowl. Stir very well.If desired, add about 16 medium-sized blueberries and stir gently but well. Add a dollop of heavy cream, milk, or milk substitute if desired, and/or add a pat of butter. Stir again and enjoy!! Makes one hearty and delicious serving!!

Makes a tasty and filling breakfast. It does seem to require extra water though when I use the 2 cup oats, 5 cup water, 4 minutes on high in the instant pot method. It's a great rice substitute and good either sweet or savory. Some containers had the plastic cover opened up when it arrived, probably from the paper canister being bumped around during transit so just watch out for that.
