This fit perfectly in the compass holder on our boat. We are very pleased with it.

This compass was direct replacement for the Danforth compass that was in the boat. So far, it has worked just as expected. Installation was very simple since I did not have to cut any hole for mounting. I just purchased the adapter ring for the compass and that solved all mounting issues. Wiring was straight forward. If you are in the market for a compass, go to Ritchie web site and look at their guide.

I bought this to replace a worn out old compass on the old Grady. I read reviews about how this holds course in rough water. I have not really road tested this yet, but It has a great bright visible surface and appears extremely accurate to date. I will update after a long trip whern the weather breaks.

Great upgrade from my old compass. This compass seems to be more accurate and is certainly easier to read with the nice back-light display. Not much more to say as it is a basic device, but i do like that the product came with all items needed for installation (not always the case with marine products).
