As a lifelong squirrel hunter, I read reviews before I bought this call. I have used others during the years, but not this one. I saw several reviews saying this doesn’t sound like a squirrel, they are wrong. Calling isn’t simply pushing the baffle down however and whenever you want. There is a skill involved that includes muffling the call and speed and duration are to be set by squirrels you are trying to call. Before you make a statement like “it sounds like a duck,” educate yourself on proper calling techniques. I can’t speak for the durability yet, as I’ve only had it a few days. It’s easy to use, and sounds like a squirrel, what else could a person ask for? I recommend it to people who know what they’re doing

This call makes the sound that squirrels make when they are pissed off at one another -- "cak cak cak cak". It's a shock call, and works well for that purpose. I've come up to some squirrels cutting under some brush, hidden from sight, but I could hear them cutting away. This call has shocked them out of their hiding spot, onto a log or tree. They're trying to see what all the fuss is about, and wander right into a clear shot.This is not a call that will bring squirrels to you, so don't expect it to. I've found it best used for stalking in dense brush.

I like this call and I I have luck when testing it out in my back yard. Going to use it in my hunting area later this week and will update on how that goes.

It’s an okay squirrel call but if you remove the plunger and use your mouth, you can make an incredible fawn distress call.

It does everything it's supposed to do, but for some reason it doesn't seem to do me any good hunting. If anything, it just runs them off.

So with this, I am pissing off every squirrel I come across. I have yet to use it for hunting as the weather has been less than helpful, but sitting on my deck, with a drink, this thing just aggravates squirrels to no end.
