Have a 12 bolt Chrysler 9.25" axel with a whine from about 35mph to 48mph, and slight noise at 58.Of course the correct thing to do is rebuild it, but there is very little caught on the magnet and no damage to the ring or pinion teeth, but I wanted to see if going one step up on the viscousness scale would help the whine, and it did.. slight noise at 35, no noise at 40, and light whine at 45, barely noticeable... so if you've got an older vehicle with a whining differential and you want it to go down the road a little quieter until you can fix it. Give this stuff a try.

I bought it to use as lube on my motorbike chain, as suggested by the user's manual. Need to oil the chain every 1000 km.
