Don’t get the slip ring style when the current changes the boat always breaks loose, get this style since the ring at the back of the anchor doesn’t move it always holds no matter what. Make sure you get a few feet of heavy chain to help keep the rope down and make anchoring even easier.

The anchor that came with my boat was a bit smaller/lighter and I wanted a replacement. This is a great anchor and never fails to grip the riverbed! Price was right as well! Don’t forget to use a leader chain with this anchor if you want it to perform correctly!

Got this for our 20 foot pontoon. I’m not a boat expert so I thought this was the right style to anchor down, but I might be wrong. It worked great to keep us down at a sandbar but we drifted quite a bit on sandy, but rockier terrain. Also got the 14lb anchor instead of the smaller on that was recommended and I think it was a good call. Might even need to size up again.

Nice and light
Bought for my elderly dad to use with his fishing boat as his old one weighted 20lbs and was too difficult for him to pull up on his own. He cut this one down a bit to fit inside a seat compartment but he really likes it. Nice and easy to pull from bottom and holds well once set.

Great anchor!
Use this on my Glastron 18.5' boat on a large lake - our boat weighs approximately 1900lbs. This anchor, when supplied with enough rope, has held true every time I drop it. I anchor mostly in waters from 6 feet out to 20 feet and have been in some choppy waters - never been a problem. Highly recommend this anchor type if you're looking for something.
Holds in sand bottom
Used this to anchor out my 15 aluminum runabout. Held well in a sand bottom. Have not had the chance to try it in other conditions but as where I go mostly has a sand bottom it works for me.
