I just downloaded the "Trail Series Digital-Analog Combo" manual under the Expedition Series section of the Timex manuals and used that.I also have to wonder about the reviews stating that this watch is too small for a man and is therefore only suitable for kids. It's a 39 mm case, which is 1.5 mm larger than the Submariner Connery wore in his James Bond films. If you think he looked like he was wearing a girl's watch then maybe you'll need something bigger than this but otherwise I think you will be fine.

Decided to do this review after a year and a half.Incredibly accurate. I use my kids school bell to check the seconds and it goes off at 13 seconds after, everyday. I've had another expedition watch, which is why I picked this one up after losing the previous (the kids love playing with my watches).This thing is tough. Very minor pitting on the glass(only visible when looking at it from an angle) and no scratches. It's busted the skin on my hand from impacts without losing any integrity.The band is still holding strong with minimal fraying. The brown has faded a touch in the more worn areas.My only complaint is about a month ago, the rotating bezel started to make a rattling noise when shaken. Definitely not a deal breaker, but has caused me to start looking for another watch. I like to only hear the ticking of the watch. I much prefer the digital date, which is why this will be a tough watch to find a good replacement for.

I've been a Timex fan since the first time I saw an indiglo advertisement nearly thirty years ago! I've owned many since including several expedition models. I'm also an analog fan and despise digital watches, however I never readjust the analog date when it needs it so I started looking for a solution and a combination watch is definitely the answer. This is a fantastic low priced watch loaded with features and it's crystal is inset in the rotating bezel which aids in preventing scratches. Timex crystal take a licking without showing premature scratching anyway and this feature helps even more. Okay on to what I don't like about this watch! The digital feature is hard to see with aging eyes and the thing I like about it even less is the fact that the date does not stay on at all times! You have to press the button and it shows the day and date for a few seconds or as long as you hold the button. I'd much prefer a setting to keep the date showing rather than digital time since I view the analog feature for the time. Also note that the case is resin not metal and the buttons are also plastic save the crown which is mostly stainless steel and the back plate is also stainless steel. While I prefer a nice metal watch case the use of resins make for a nice light weight design. I like the band on this watch as well... time will tell if it's as sturdy as it seems. Overall this was a good purchase on a great watch even if I do need to grab my reading glasses and push a button to see what day it is! Still I'd prefer slightly larger digits and a feature to show the date at all times. EDIT: after reading through q@a this watch does indeed have a feature to keep the date showing simply by holding the button for a few seconds. Thanks to the person who posted this info as it makes the watch much more desirable... now if I could only see it without having to reach for reading glasses!

This is the nicest looking watch Timex has done in a long time. I have worn their Expedition watches before, usually my watch of choice for deployments, because they are basically indestructible. And if they do get scuffed or beat up, they do not cost a fortune to replace.I like the features of this particular watch. The rotating bezel is a major plus. The crystal is slightly recessed behind the bezel to protect it from scratches. And the watch is waterproof. The visibility of the dial and hands is excellent both in daylight and using the awesome Indeglow feature.The nylon fabric watchband is double layer of contrasting color and looks good. The band is stiff for a fabric band, but is surprisingly comfortable and smooth feeling on the arm. I found myself forgetting to take it off at night.I like the analog/digital combo. The digital area defaults to time. It is small and does not light up with the Indeglow. A single button press brings up the date, which is a plus. There are too many features to the tiny digital area: timers, lap, time zones, alarm, etc. With only 3 buttons to seek and set everything, it can be fiddly.Overall, this is one tough watch that is more than it has a right to be. Great value for the money at this low price point.

Somehow, and I really don't know how they managed to mess this up, the digital clock in the analog clock run at different speeds. The analog clock loses about 1 minute per hour to the digital clock. So if I set them both to 12:00 noon, by 3:00, the digital display will say 3:00 but the hands will point to 12:57. This grows more and more noticeable throughout the day obviously. The really annoying part is that you can tell that the seconds hand and the seconds display are being driven by the same pulse because they always happen at the same time, but for some reason every hour a minute is just lost somehow. Waiting for my replacement to come in but somehow I don't think that's going to fix the issue.

The media could not be loaded. Orologio sportivo in stile militare. Realizzato in resina, è molto comodo e leggero. La cassa nera si adatta bene anche a diversi cinturini sportivi. Ha diverse funzioni disponibili nel quadrante digitale (secondo fuso, cronometro e due allarmi), ma il funzionamento è un po' macchinoso. Spettacolare l'illuminazione notturna!Nel complesso un buon prodotto per il prezzo.

Just what I expected
Watch is good for the price. It feels light and a bit plastic but appears to be solid/well built. The strap I quite stiff but after a bit of use it fits well.The idiglo light works/looks great but the instructions are definitely sub-par. Most of the basics aren't covered in them and neither are nifty things to know like hold the light button for 3 seconds to change what the light button does when pressed... overall happy with the look of the watch and the quality.

Watch is good for the price. It feels light and a bit plastic but appears to be solid/well built.
