Bought this sometime ago but just getting around to reviewing it. I thought I had done it already.Yes, 5 stars. Remember this - you are NOT seeing Shakespeare. This really is a movie made for 12-year old boys - lots of quick cuts and short dialogue. But it has just enough of a storyline to keep the rest of us more "mature" guys nailed to the seats to watch.Yes, Vin Diesel is not the best actor, but the action more than makes up for his shortcomings. And don't forget Samuel L. Jackson.So go ahead. This movie is one of those guilty pleasures that you can enjoy without feeling too bad after it is over.

XXX brings new life to the spy genre. Vin Diesel is perfectly cast as Xander Cage- a man who is unwillingly recruited to the spy game. Diesel is a perfect choice for the role because, although we know that stuntmen were used to perform the over the top stunts of this movie- we believe that in Diesels physical condition he "could" perform them.If you're going to watch this you have got to be in the kind of mindset like if you were to watch CRANK or SHOOT EM UP. XXX is over-the-top when it comes to its action scenes. If you're in this frame of mind you may actually enjoy the movie.

Now, i've just read a lot of bad reviews of this film, & some good points have been taken. But seriously - you knew this was an action movie when you went into the theatre! Mindless - guilty. Unbelievable - definitely. Boring - NO. The stunts are great, it's got funny (and dumb) 1 liners from the hero, & it's got the hot girl for the hero. Everything that makes action movies good, right? Before you condemn this movie for it's cliches, take a look at some of the other action movies you clame to like. Oh, & have any of the Bond movies been intellectual - could he really fit all that junk is his friggin' wrist watch?

after several NSA undercover agents are killed trying to infiltrate a Russian terrorist organization, An NSA member decides to use a civilian with the right skills but no formal training and decides on an extreme sports star (Vin Desiel) that just comitted three crimes (XXX) and makes a deal with him (or blackmails him) to become an undercover agent.

There is no doubt about it: this is a silly, ridiculous action movie, and taken as completely straight and serious, it stinks. However, if you allow yourself to have a load of fun with it and accept it for the adrenaline-pumping, hard rocking good time it is, xXx proves itself to be one of the finest action movie delights since the genre's glory days in the 1980s. Unfortunately, the disc's subpar video quality and non-existent extras make the disc a letdown. The audio quality is undeniably strong, and anyone who likes this movie and has a decent lossless set-up owes it to themselves to upgrade from the DVD for the sound mix alone. Those simply looking for pristine video quality should skip this one, but the movie itself is definitely worth renting for action and adrenaline junkies.
