I have ordered these bars for a few years. They definitely have kept me on my low carb diet my Dr. has me on. Between working out at the gym at least 3 times a week, I also ate these HIGH PROTEIN BARS for breakfast everyday, and for a snack or lunch, especially if I wanted something small, quick and easy, for on the go. They are also great , if you have a sweet tooth!No, they don’t taste like candy, but they are sweet and satisfy your sweet craving!Of all of the high protein bars I have tried, these are the BEST tasting, and ZERO SUGAR!!I have looked at the labels on other protein bars, and some of them have a lot of sugar!! Read the labels!They gave me energy, satisfied my hunger, and helped me lose 55 lbs!! I’m down to only 135 lbs, and I’m 5’ 7 1/2” .I was ordering them all if the time, until the price kept going up and up!!With the economy the way it is now, I had to stop buying these. I sure wish they’d have a good sale price on them, so I could stock up !!

Both my husband and I have close relatives with NIDDM - non Insulin dependent Adult onset Diabetes. We recently began eliminating carbohydrates from our diet - which means no bread, pasta, rice, basically nothing "white" or full of sugar. Increasing our clean protein and veggies is no problem, but on busy days breakfast can be difficult. So we went in search of low carb "energy bars". I do not recommend this...it is pointless. We visited every health food store in town (actually several towns) and found ONE acceptable brand. And it cost exactly $3.75 per bar. And no, it wasn't a "family sized" bar. Just the average "one person feels hungry after finishing" it sized bar. We bought a couple of the, and they basically tasted like uncooked cookie dough. The flavor wasn't too bad but honestly, I'm not a fan of uncooked dough.And then I tried searching low carb bars on Bolo. Why, oh why, did I not do that FIRST?These bars, in every flavor, are tasty, satisfying and SOoooo low in carbs that I kind of wonder if the label is fibbing a little. Which actually would be okay...even with 10 more carbs per serving they would still beat the pants off the next lower carb bar on the self at our local health food establishment. So I would like to say "Thank You" to the reviewer who said that these are so good that he'd buy them even if they he didn't have diabetes! He's right.

These bars are not intended to tickle your sweet tooth nor to be a luscious dessert. They are nutrition bars, with emphasis on protein, and are a good substitute for less nutritious things when you are hungry between meals. The extra protein will tend to satisfy your appetite for a relative minimum of calories. The texture is pleasant, the taste is mild and inoffensive. The ratio of grams of protein to calories is the best I have seen in any protein bar. I will be buying more of these.

I had bought this product before and really liked it. This time I purchased it for a friend and they hated it. They gave them back to me and there was none of the cherry 'filling' in them they were tasteless. SO disappointed in this batch. Will not purchase again because clearly there is no consistency in making them!

I love the Nugo original bars and I’m so happy they make a lower sugar/higher protein version very similar. They arrived very fresh and the texture is crispy and chewy at the same time! Great chocolate peanut buttery deliciousness!!

TASTE WAS OK, SHIPPING FAST OF COURSE. HOWEVER, THE CHOCOLATE EITHER MELTED AND SOLIDIFIED OR WAS OLD IN THE FIRST PLACE. BUT IT WAS OFF COLOR. I DONT THINK IT MESSED WITH THE TASTE. IT IS JUST OFF PUTTING.

Started buying these a few months back as a carb saver, and more affordable alternative to Quest protein bars. The first couple boxes I got, the bars were soft, chewy, and tasted great. Over the last 2 to 3 months it has been harder to get bars that are soft at all. The bars are so hard now that I break them in the package with my fingers before I open them. (I can actually hear them snap.) Then I let them dissolve in my mouth because chewing them hurts my teeth. I wondered at first if it was just me, then started reading recent reviews and realized this is becoming a common problem. I plan to cancel my two boxes per month subscription and find an alternative, or look to get these elsewhere.These bars are great and I would highly recommend them, if you can get them when they're not stale.
