Description:
More commonly known as MAF sensor or air meter, the mass airflow sensor has one very important job; measuring the amount of air entering the engine for an optimal air-fuel ratio. Without this information, the ECU will not be able to accurately control fuel injection, resulting in an engine that will either idle roughly, or worst case, not at all. But don’t worry! We’ve been producing OE MAF sensors since the 1970s.

My check engine light has been going on and off for like 7 years and 80k miles driven in that time. Finally bought this and - as a lady (cough!) - I was able to do this nearly all myself. So easy to change it was embarrassing. Hubby helped with the muscle for the old original MAF that was hermetically sealed with dirt and grime, but otherwise a simple 5-10 minute fix. A simple youtube search before digging in. It fits my 2003 Tahoe 5.3L LT with 165K perfectly. Runs so much better now, mileage has greatly improved (from 15.3 avg per gal all the way up to 16.5 so far - woah...). The check engine light hasn't come on once since the change.UPDATE It lasted 2 months...aaaand the check engine light is back on again - exact same codes as before I put this one in. Less than 1k miles and it goes out. Not Happy. Now I'm forced to buy another one. Should lower my 5 star to 1 but I won't. bah...

Truck runs like new. I had already replaced all 4 oxygen sensors, but the truck was still intermittently sluggish and would not accelerate reliably…. Installed the mass airflow sensor and voila, truck runs perfect, no more sluggishness. Installed on 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4 V6

MY suburban was throwing a code for the mass airflow sensor. I replaced it with this one and the code has not come back. Super easy to replace this on my vehicle also. Only needed a flat screwdriver or nut driver.

Bought this in 2021 for $95 and right out of the box I was skeptical, had Delphi printed on the plastic, but not cast into the little aluminum plate. Worked ok (with no more P0101) code for about a month then crapped the bed completely. Truck would barely even run, thought I got a bad tank of gas at first, then came to find it ran fine again with the original MAF sensor (an actual Delphi that truck was born with). This is definitely a cheap chinese knock off! Will remove this review if I get a refund or exchange for real Delphi part.

Update after reaching out a few times someone finally sent a replacement. 4 stars because it went bad within a year but thankfully delphi sent a replacementPurchased June 2024 and has already failed and of course out of warranty. Thought delphi was quality bit seems they don't even wanna warranty the junk anymore

It made a difference with replacing the 2005 Suburban OEM Mass Air Flow Sensor. The engine runs very smoothy. BTW, I did clean out the throttle body which contributed to the overall performance.

2004 Silverado 2500hd 6.0 fit great , my truck was cutting out when I come up to a stop light / stop sign . Noticed my fuel economy got a little better to runs a lot smoother . Great purchase

Best MAF avalible
Fixed my problems, truck runs smoother, mileage has improved, and no more check engine light since install after clearing the codes. This is the OEM part and is really the best option. I wouldn't recommend the cheaper alternatives as they will fail prematurely, my only complaint is that it was shipped in bubble wrap loose with my other Bolo orders in a large box, it really should have it's own box as some of the honeycomb mesh on the unit had some dents but doesn't affect the performance of the unit
