My daughter's Tahoe had an AFM lifter fail. So, I decided to do a DOD/AFM delete because it was likely the other lifters would be more failing soon, too. I decided to gather all of the parts necessary vs buying a pre-assembled kit. I didn't cheap out on quality and still saved ~$130 over the TSP kit with fewer necessary parts.After tuning out the AFM, the Tahoe started right away and ran like new with no ticking and no CEL.

Fits as designed and sealed the cover as intended,on my 2008 Silverado although the crankshaft seal was a bit deformed upon arrival and I had to order a replacement. Depending on your situation you may need to apply some rtv sealant on the corners where it meets the oil pan. Costs less than the oem parts and seem to be of factory quality if not a little better. Installation is easy once you remove the harmonic balancer ( was not an easy task) in my case I needed an impact tool considering the main shaft bolt on my truck cane torqued to 240 ft-lbs and required a special tool to lock the flywheel in place to keep the crank from turning during removal and installation of the harmonic balancer

These gaskets are a universal fit for the GMT-800 generation of 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0L engines. I installed this on a 99 2500 non-HD with the cast iron head LQ4 block. Nice to have spare felt water pump gaskets on hand should I ever need to replace a pump on a rainy day.

Great set. Installed new Melling oil pump, Gates water pump and Gates thermostat and housing at the same time. Been driving for 2 weeks since install and no leaks or problems so far. Very happy.
