Fixed my sticking door
My door was sticking (this part wasn’t coming in and out anymore) so I got this to replace it and it worked great! Compatible with my doorknob. Size was perfect, just had to get the right fit. Seems durable and came lubricated. Easy to replace. Great price!

My old garage door latch went bad. Started catching and not retracting fully. I was afraid that I would either get locked in or locked out. I pushed the bolt in and covered it with gorilla tape and just used the deadbolt. AI guided me to this latch on Bolo rather than replacing the whole Qwikset lock set. It was a good decision because for around seven bucks, it fixed the problem. Just make sure that the little pin on the latch is set to the correct offset. You would need to measure from the center of the hole in your door to the door edge and set the pin to either 60 mm (2-3/8”) or 70 mm (2-¾”). It works fine, came lubricated and seems well constructed.My old latch went bad because the door was not aligned correctly, and so there was constant pressure on it because of how it was positioned. Turns out that the top right corner of my door was rubbing against the frame which in turn was not seating the latch properly. If you want this latch to last a while, make sure you have no such issues. Also, someone else complained this was an interior latch and not an exterior latch. There is no such thing as interior versus exterior latch. This is the exact same tubular latch for both and will work just fine. I compared it with my previous latch and it was exactly the same thing.

Other than the packaging being completely beat to crap, it works perfectly and was easy to install. Our thumb is easy to open now. Saved me $150+ plus the effort of replacing the handle and repainting the door (since the one we have is discontinued). I actually called Kwikset customer service to find out the exact part number I needed to order.I saw some people send it back because it's labeled as being for interior use, but it's important to note that it IS still the correct replacement even for exterior use if on a thumb latch that doesn't lock. The deadbolt is the only lock on the door anyway.
Quality latches. Proud latch depression
The latch does not depress into the body fully, it is about 3mm proud when fully depressed. For doors with tight framing you may need to recess the strike plate to account for this. Overall, pretty quality feeling latches for the money. Was easy to install, just needed to recess my strikes

Wrong picture - This is an INTERIOR door latch!!!
Although the written description mention that it is an interior door latch, the pictures of the plate and ring show features for an exterior door latch with the extra gap designed for the extra pin required for an exterior door latch. Unfortunately, the latch picture is not showing the proper view to figure that it is actually an interior door latch (which does not have the extra pin) and NOT an exterior door latch (which have an extra pin). I should have read the reviews about it... thought me a lesson. The attached picture would be a better description of the actual product.
