Carter made many OEM fuel pumps for vehicle manufacturers so I didn't hesitate to buy this unit for a 1966 Thunderbird 428 engine I was working on. The pump was exactly like the original and installed with no issues. It pumps fuel just like it should. Overall, very happy with its performance.

Installed this on my 1965 ford fairlane. Fought it for 2 days trying to figure out the fuel issue. Luckily I still had the original from 1965, opened it, cleaned it, and reinstalled it. It fired on the first try and runs like a champ now. This new pump was junk.

Could have bought an Airtex or other brand at local auto-part store but I have heard alot of good things about Carter products and I give it five stars after an easy instal and most importantly, it has my 64 Galaxie running great. Go ahead and buy. Great product, made in USA and priced right.

The pump works great, the fuel pressure was too high for my carburetor and had to go back to another fuel pump without the filter.

Worked perfectly on my ford 390 Fe engineOnly problem is the fuel filter hub part was stuck and I will never be able to change the fuel filter I will prob replace the pump when I need to change it
