I got her the 23mm, stainless steel, solid silver color, stretch band version. Mom is 88 and while, ideally, she would have a dainty, delicate little thing for her little bird bones, I got her the bigger face with easy-to-read numbers. She does find this one easy to read and the indiglo light really helps her out in the dark, which is something none of her previous watches had. I have no data to report on how well it stands up to scratches or how long the battery lasts since I just gave it to her, but it's a Timex and we're going off of the good reputation of the name. The battery came already installed and was easily activated by the removal of a little plastic piece that had held it in an inactive state so it didn't run down. She was easily able to set the time by herself and required no further instructions, as anything mechanical or electronic so often does for her these days. There was a lot of discussion about the wrist band size in the product reviews and I was quite concerned about how it would fit, based on the wildly varying reports of different variations of similar watches, whose reviews were all lumped together. She has a small, delicate, wrist and I wound up taking it to a kiosk at the mall and having 3 links removed, which cost $20. It seemed to be a difficult task, even for a supposedly experienced watch worker with the correct tools, so I'm glad I didn't try it myself. I got a nice sale price on the watch of $29.99 (from the regular listed price of $63, in December, 2024), and think it was well worth both the sale and full price, even adding in the cost of the band adjustment. Mom had wasted much more than that by purchasing several very inexpensive watches, trying to save a few dollars. Batteries ran down quickly, bands broke, she couldn't read the tiny numbers, they turned color and left stains on her wrist, didn't stand up to the water from hand washing, etc. Not as many people wear watches anymore, since most of us have cell phones in our hands most of the time. But if you have an elderly loved one who really misses having an analog watch (even though they have an emergency call device with a digital time readout on the other wrist, lol), just go ahead and pay more than $12 for this watch. The others don't last, aren't reliable, need difficult-to-replace batteries very fast, etc., and the cost of multiple cheap watches mounts quickly to more than you'd pay for a Timex. This one is well worth the money.

This is the 3rd time I’ve bought this exact watch, I like it so well. I love that the numbers are large enough to see without glasses. I love the light up Indiglo function. I love that it has both silver and gold tones, so it looks good with all my other jewelry. Each watch lasts about 3-4 years, and you can replace the battery. I replace one only because the band starts looking a bit scratched and used. It keeps time very well, and fits and feels great on my wrist.

The description says bracelet-style band but it is an expansion band. Nothing about how to shorten the band, or change the battery in the instructions, although you can watch YouTube videos about changing batteries- not the easiest to do, but if you are careful and have a little ability you can do it, even without watch maker's tools. I've never had to remove links in a band. Times just says take it to a jeweler- fine if you have one in the area that does these things, and you don't mind paying the extra. The back of the case at least tells you it takes a CR1216 battery- that is a little flat button 3V battery commonly found where I am.The date is ridiculous- this is an easy-reader type of watch which usually means you need slightly larger clear numbers - the date is tiny within the space the numeral 3 should be, so a lot of people will not be able to read it. It also has to be manually reset for every month less than 31 days- quite a nuisance, although once you learn how to do it, you can do it yourself-- if you can hold the watch and have a real or artificial "3rd hand" to hold the magnifying glass so you can see the numbers under good lighting while turning the tiny knob. It just is not worth it to me and I think the watch would look nicer without that little square hole where the 3 should be, so imo Timex ought to dispense with it and give us a few cents price break instead while having a less annoying, better-looking product.That said, the good part is that I am hoping this nice-looking but sturdy seeming watch will be as good as the similar ones I have had- for many, many years, through at least 3 battery changes now, and the batteries do last several years, although using the indiglo feature really eats batteries- I suggest not using it if you don't really need to, although it is nice when you do need it- usually the watch can run fine for several months after the indiglo stops working due to battery getting old, in my experience.I have to use Timex watches- I kill all LCD digital watches, and even other brands of analog watches in no time-any I ever tried would act goofy and die in short order. I say it is my electric personality as I get shocked all the time just touching things- like the shelves in a store. I also take gold plating off things- but not off these watches. All my life I have done fine with an analog Timex, and I do plenty of outside work with them. The previous watches survived years of getting splashed while working with irrigation or cleaning gutters or jarring work. They really do take a licking and keep on ticking.I also think it looks fine to wear out socially or to an office job, also, and has a second hand which is kind of needed if you work in medical.The only reason I ordered this one was that my old one once again needed the battery replaced and this time I was having trouble getting the back of the case opened- since it was old and a little scratched or worn due to rubbing here and there, after some 20+ years, and I wondered if I might crack the lens before I got the battery changed and the back cover on again so when I saw a good deal on the same style, I ordered it- and then I was finely able to get the back case cover off and the battery changed without damaging anything. Of course, right?Just get rid of the silly date box and do better on instructions and I'd give it more than 5 stars

I love this watch they last a long time. I bought this as a replacement for my old one that was exactly the same because I really liked it. I can’t go without my watch and I really like this one. The only problem with it is the watch band is a little big for my wrist.

This is a beautiful Timex watch. It’s easy to read and lights up when the stem is pushed in. It’s a good value, as well.My only complaint is that the band is small. It didn’t fit my average-sized wrist, therefore I am returning it.

Loved everything about it but the out packing was so soft the the box inside was broken (it was a gift so I was embarrassed to pack it in that box).Watch stopped working after 2 months battery change dint help, and then suddenly after few days it started working again.But i love this watch.

Timex Women's Easy Reader 25mm Date Watch
I love the elastic band. But, the face is too small. I did not realise 25mm is so small. I am long sighted and needs to wear my glasses to read the time. It would have been better if the size is bigger with bigger font so that I do not have to wear glasses to read the time.
