These are my first pair of Sketchers, and let me start off by saying that I love them! I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they came in size 16, and the fit was perfect. I ordered the 16 Wide and the width is spot on for my foot. The soles are extemely durable, supportive, and well-made. The shoe walks well, fits well, and looks great! I would definitely recommend this product!

In fairness, this shoe seems well made and looks smart. So I'm likely deducting one star due to my own mistake, which is that every 4-5 years, I try another manufacturer beside Footjoy.The issue with the shoes is their fit. I'm size 13 wide, but that's less rare than it used to be, look around at kids these days. I walk when playing golf and these shoes are just too narrow, frankly not really a 'wide' size, at least as it pertains to me.So if you're someone who's used Sketchers before and find them a good fit, this shoe should make you happy. In my case however, they are not a true fit, and hence only get used for 9 hole practice rounds as that's all the walking I can do in them.

My son wears 14W and these are perfect for him. They are comfortable, look great, and seem to be standing up well to his activities. We can always count on Skechers for the entire family.

Now that I'm older, I have a problem with one foot where the ball of my right foot gets sore if I wear the wrong shoes. I've tried most brands (limited to $75 or so) from Reebok, Nike, Fila, Dr. Scholl, Eddie Bauer, etc. but Skechers are the only ones that consistently keep my foot happy with the memory insole typically outlasting the tread. I've even taken the insole out of worn Skechers to use in other brand shoes. The tread on these lasts as long or longer than the other brands and my foot stays happy. Skechers are now the only brand that I'll buy.

I don't typically write reviews of products this quickly - only Received the Sketchers Energy Afterburn Sneakers yesterday. I felt compelled to. I have size 13 foot, but based on other reviewers' recommendation, I sized Up to a 14 Wide. They were right. The 14 Wide was the way to go for me. The Sneaker offers solid platform for activity. I have some Balance issues due to Spinal & Cervical Stenosis at 72 Years Old, these shoes seem to provide a better platform form their solid and a bit more rigid sole - being helpful to me. They could be a scooch more wide in the toe box, but being leather uppers I know they will Give and stretch out over time. I'm a bit more hampered than others in that I need to wear Orthotics in the right shoe to accommodate my leg length discrepancy of about 1" on the right leg. They fit comfortably and at this price appear to be a Bargain to me. IMHO, these are not Pure Walkers but more a Shoe for activities. They are a bit heavier than my New Balance & Clark Walkers but with more foot/ankle support.

I umpire Georgia High School girls' fastpitch softball in the fall, with dirt infields, baseball umpire shoes get dirty with the white border trim on New Balance. The shoes are all black, which is required in GA for girls' softball, they are comfortable, easy to clean, have no mesh where dirt can get into your socks, and look great polished. For the price, I can wear them either for one season, plus umpire travel softball games in the summer, if I can get two seasons out of these shoes, the price of these shoes are inexpensive, I will be a happy umpire...

The media could not be loaded. I like these shoes they fit well and are comfortable but after only 6 months of using them I have this damage on my left foot and on the other side of the shoe I have similar damage I find it very sad when all I do is walk in the shoes for my job which is not construction but walking around in a building it's far beyond a refund date but as much as I like the shoe I think they should last longer than 6 months perhaps this other could get me more information on the quality of the shoe

Great Runners
Purchased these for hubby who generally buys court shoes but Bolo was out of stock so tried these Skechers based on my own experience of loving their fit and comfort. As ones gets older a nice comfortable balanced shoe is important. These are very well quality runners being made of leather with quality stitching. Also you could tell when pulling the shoe out of the box that is not those cheap lightweight runners being sold a lot these days. The Navy color ordered is a nice dark navy/black look which blends with various clothing and hubby says they are very comfortable. I like them as despite being a runner they still have a nice quality look and not too large/obtrusive looking as some are. Will be looking to purchase my next runners from Skechers through Bolo based on this experience. Glad to see that not all companies have cheapened their product. Great quality given the price. Would definitely recommend them.
