It was in perfect shape, the color and taste was the same and it was not leaking when I got it in the mail and open the box!!!Yes it is made out of plastic!!1 win win!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Greasy spots on the inside of the box it came in & when I pulled it out it the jar felt greasy around the lid & there's mayonnaise literally oozing out of the unopened lid (the place where you "break" the actual blue lid part from the blue ring that remains on the jar, that was still unbroken). Then when I opened the lid it kind of "popped" off & mayo got all over the edges of the jar & my hand. Realized it was most likely due to being on a hot vehicle all day before it arrived at my house, so there was a build-up of pressure from inside the jar. I doubt it's safe to eat & not chancing it.
