This unit can easily replace the rectangular green foam-like humidifier that often comes with a 100-count size humidor, and can be magnetically secured inside the lid. Just add distilled water and you're good to go. The beads make the proper humidification dissipate slowly and gently, taking away the highs and lows of the ol' hockey pucks. Highly recommend!

I gave this item 5 stars as it works exactly as described. I placed this Humidified in a 100 count cuban crafters box and 3 days later I had 68%-70% RH that held consistently at those levels. Only complaint is that they item is advertised as pre-charged. Mine came out of the package at around 25% charge. Once I refilled with the Xikar PG solution to full it only needs to be topped off every month or so. Great product keeps my cigars perfectly and is easy to fill and use.

This is my second one in 5 years. Way simpler than the green florists foam included one. My humidor (100 cigar, cuban crafter) usually has about 20-30 cigars in it at any one time. I also replaced the analog dial guage with Xikars digital one and that was a good upgrade as well. Once every two months I add the premade Xikar 50/50 solution to this and fill it up until it will absorb no more into the beads, let it sit on my counter for an hour and then wipe it off and shake it off modestly until I am sure nothing will drip/ run out while its magnetically held upside down in my humidor lid. Keeps the humidor at approximately 68-70 RH for those 2-3 months (depending on conditions in my house)As far as this being my second humidifier, it just stopped keeping my humidity at a high enough level. Should have done it at the 3 maybe 4 year mark. That being said, if I wasn't so impressed with the ease and precision of the first one I wouldn't have bought the same one again would I?

These work REALLY well. The Gel keeps a constant 68% (indicated by my digital Xikar hydrometer) humidity in my humidor. I have a pretty big display case humidor and I use three of these gel packs in it. I usually only have to fill one of these guys up because they will not only release humidity, but accumulate humidity as well if it is too high. That is why I like them so much, it would be really hard to over do it.

I’ve used this Xikar product in the past and it was a great product that worked perfectly. I needed another one for a cigar box for my son. Now I normally don’t buy from Mikes Cigars who was the provider on Bolo. The product they sent hardly had any crystals in it. Disappointed would be an understatement. I would never use Mikes again.

I've had several of these in my humidors for the past 10 years and they are the the only thing I would use. I am in southern Arizona where the humidity can be down to one percent, so it's quite the challenge keeping my sticks in the proper humidity. For me, they keep it between 63 and 65% humidity. And believe me, they work hard to keep the humidity at that high level considering our climate here. Just be sure to use the recommended solution so that the beds stay healthy and don't dry up.

I have five other Xikar humidifiers which I'm very satisfied with, however this one didn't seem to be up to the same quality as the others. When I received it the gel beads were only about 1/3 full and I was concerned about it holding solutions without dripping in my humidor. I had to take a razor blade to get the magnets off of the back of the humidor, as they wouldn't budge. I emailed the seller about my concerns and they said they would send a replacement, however it's been a few weeks and still no replacement has arrived.

holds a lot of moisture, so refills are required less often. I filled mine with a propylene glycol blend at first (it shipped partially charged), and now refill with DI H2O. I have it in a 125-stick humidor, and it keeps RH at ~65%...maybe a little low for some, but perfect for me. Reasons it's not higher- I live in Tucson, so pretty dry, and the humidor has glass and an analog hydro in the front, so not perfectly sealed. I did use some plumbers putty around the hydro, and that helped A LOT.
