The quality of this toffee is better than 5 stars. Chilling, then breaking it into small pieces, and putting the toffee in a small bowl is easy The sweetness just right. After a few moments in your mouth, its smooth caramel texture is just right for chewing, or just lolling your tongue over it. The thickness is perfect for sinking your teeth into. The toffee tastes fresh, and beckoning. (Just one more piece). I loved having a tray of toffee is enjoy. So Good!

I love this toffee. I’ve read a lot of the reviews, and what we have is a language problem. This is English toffee. It is not caramel, which is much softer.. it is not brittle, which doesn’t go soft when chewed. At its best, this toffee starts off really hard and shatters when hammered, but soon becomes soft and chewy when eaten. When it’s subjected to heat, or is a little old, it becomes softer and doesn’t shatter. Either way, it is delicious, at least in my opinion. This multi pack does not contain the cute mini toffee hammer, but it is very reasonably priced, and can be broken with a number of items.

I've always thought of "toffee" as a solid candy like heath bar, but these are big hunks of caramel. They're quite tasty if what you WANT is chewy caramel, but that wasn't what I hoped to order.I was a bit misled by the discussion by some reviewers of "little hammers to break it into pieces". The stuff I got would need to be put into the freezer to be broken by a hammer, and when it thawed it'd be a mess. Then again, I live in Hawaii, so there's that.In fact, after ordering, I figured this out from reading a few more of the reviews, and canceled the order a few hours after making it. However, despite it being a "cancel order" with my explanation that I didn't want chewy caramel, the seller - rather than cancelling it - wrote back asking if I wanted to cancel. That email didn't get to me until the next day, upon which I wrote back and said yes, cancel means cancel, but by that time it had already been shipped.So... to sum up... the item is a generous bunch of caramel, and at the $12.50 price (shipped) it's a decent price if you want a metal tray of caramel. The shipping was also quite a bit faster than predicted. The product is fresh. I don't find it to be exceptional caramel, but it's not bad. I've locked it in a sealed bin downstairs so I don't eat it anytime soon.I think the order was canceled in time and shouldn't have been shipped; the seller was a bit confused about what an Bolo "cancel order" notice meant, seemingly. Not needing caramel, I won't order it again, but caramel lovers might be well advised to try it. I like the little metal tray it shipped in, which my wife has her eye on for sorting mealworms or some other such project.Bottom line, if you know it's 35oz of tasty caramel, by all means order it and you'll likely be happy. Just know that "toffee" to brits is apparently what "caramel" is to yanks.

I live in Canada and I’ve been looking for the best toffee that I can find and unfortunately I haven’t found the best toffee until now. This toffee is just so good. I don’t know how to describe it and it’s got that great chew as it releases that heavenly decadent and rich flavour. Yum. My mouth waters just thinking about it, lol. I’ve ordered a few times already. They are never on sale-understandable based on the UK’s high quality of their toffees. I really don’t like the boring soft chews of toffee that are manufactured here, usually for limited times, here in CanadaUPDATE January 11/24. Well I was about to order a tray of these today, however they seem to be permanently priced $6 (CAD) higher. I’m not uneducated and despite people constantly whining about the economy, the overall price of food, especially pantry foods, should be stable or decreasing. However ..when I detect an ever so slight whiff of price gouging, my Iroquois temper emerges from me and esp. for others who don’t know better and pay the overinflated prices.So bye bye Walkers. Gonna have to shop locally sourced and manufactured hard toffee for my sweet tooth.
