I grew tired and frustrated with liquid bath soaps because of the silly scents, expense, and failure to really clean. I fell in love with Speick bar soap with its great scent and fantastic cleaning ability, but I do not enjoy leaving a gum of soap on the bath or shower, so I needed a good soap dish that would be 1) not cheap plastic, 2) easy to clean and dishwasher safe, and 3) would allow soap to dry and be convenient to take into and out of the bath.This has proven to be perfect.Price was good and it is more sturdy than the plastic ones I have seen. A bit more utilitarian in design than I might prefer, but not unattractive. There are other colors available, but I really like the strengths of stainless steel. It has worked very, very well for several months. No signs of rust, comes out of the dishwasher unscathed, and the soap drains and dries quickly. I purchased a second one for travel..

I bought this a couple weeks ago to hold my Alum block that I use after shaving, so my experience will be a little different than most users. Alum blocks are a solid mineral, so they don't really hold water like a bar of soap will, meaning my dish is not exposed to as much moisture. I imagine this will decrease my chance of rusting that some other users have apparently experienced.However, it is still subject to water, and I have seen no signs of rust.The dish itself is quite heavy, and very sturdy. I think it looks really classy, especially next to my stainless steel shaving bowl, and chrome shaving set. It is a great match for bath accessories in the chrome/stainless/polished nickel finishes.I also really like that the grating is elevated quite high from the actual dish, about a half inch or so. This allows my alum block (or your soap) to dry completely, without the crystal-y mineral crust that usually builds up on it in normal soap dishes.Overall, this Interdesign Two piece soap dish is solid, well made, has a nice finish, and does it's job well. As long as it doesn't rust (and I will return to update my review if it does), I see no reason to be unhappy with my purchase.

Exactly what I needed. Depth of tray allows water to collect (which you can then dump) but is far enough from the soap surface to keep soap from turning to mush. Easy to clean. Size is not unwieldy.

It's a soap dis and works as advertised. I bought it because it's design would match our kitchen sink. My only complaint is that the water can pool at the bottom and can look a little gross after a few days if it doesn't evaporate and I don't pour it out.

Soap bars dry fast and last very long when kept in these dishes. I have them by every sink. Easy to clean.These are the best soap dishes ever. I even use them for sponges and nail brushes. Like with soap they dry fast and there is no mess on counter.

I use this in my kitchen to complement my stainless steel sink and faucet. It holds my dishwashing sponge. Keeps it dry and clean. Light weight, looks expensive, sturdy and durable. Had one for 2 yrs and bought another for my mom. Worth the purchase.

Purchased to get away from plastic/ and ceramic soap dishes. I loved it at first but then it got rusty. I don't feel comfortable using it now. I looked cool and worked for less than a few months. Open to a new one if the manufacturer wants to send me one! :)
