My 5 & 10 year old spent a lot of time playing this on our road trip. It wasn't a "one-and-done" game like most of them... however, the tiles are so loud! It was worth it but if you're a passenger not playing, wear earplugs.

We had this game for the grandchildren. I accidentally got it caught on the bottom of my recliner and really ruined it when I put my recliner down. Two of the grandchildren were rather upset though very kind to Grams. I assured them that I would buy them another one. This is where this purchase comes into play. They were so happy to get a new one! The children are 3,5,7and 9. The 9 year old plays it occasionally but the 3 younger ones want me to play it over and over when they come to visit. There are several cards with pictures to slide into the board so the game is always new. You can never beat Mellisa and Doug for fun and quality..

I wanted to love this game. But the pictures don’t always match up with the viewing holes and it’s hard to see. Doors were a bit challenging for my two year old but she got it after a few times. Now she takes the cards out and just plays with the doors.

We play as a family and he also sits and plays it independently. There are several cards to choose from which are different themes (numbers, colours, vehicles, farm, zoo, fruit) and the cards slot in the top of the board. Each are double sided so it’s not easy to memorise where each picture is on the board once you’ve played it a few times. The reason I’ve given it 4 stars is because I don’t feel it’s really ideal for travel. It’s made from wood which I should have expected as it’s Melissa and Doug but I honestly thought this was made from hard plastic. It’s also quite chunky and heavy. It’s good for the car and at home but I originally bought to take on holidays and out and about with us as a distraction toy, unfortunately it’s too bulky and heavy for that.

It’s a very nice game to enhance memory power and increase retention ability of the child. Great to play with your kid while traveling and a good game to play at kids party. Overall satisfied with the quality and use of product. You can also customise the cards by adding more self made cards when the current ones are exhausted. Another feather in cap is that this game is Eco friendly. Go ahead and purchase. My 5 year old son loves it.

It’s so hard for us to find gifts for our nephew and niece. I now always search Melissa and Doug toys because the quality is so amazing and this one is no different. It’s a classic game and the right size for traveling. It’s also sturdy. It’s nice to offer a physical game instead of the same version that could be on a tablet. A great alternative to screens!
