My favorite scissors. I own 3 of these and was glad to be able to buy another one. High quality at a good price. Great for kitchen or office. Comfortable ambidextrous grip, cuts almost everything in the kitchen (from chicken meat to lettuce) and in the office, and might last forever.

Superb cutting. I could leave it at this. But, I felt it needed more information in this post, to inform prospective buyers. It is extremely sharp right off the bat. The mid-size helps with cutting maneuverability.It is light, but has enough heft for "feel". Has the classic Fiskars finger handles, which are comfortable and very ergonomic. This replaced a very sharp, different branded scissor that I had for many years. The handle broke on that one - just snapped off at the metal connection! The design of the Fiskars is quite different, and better designed to prevent just that. I am glad I replaced the last one with this pair!

I have a left handed scissor and it works very well. Some left handed products are just right handed pieces with the handles reversed, but my scissors are true lefties. It can be very frustrating finding true left handed tools, so finding these scissors was very lucky.

The blades were too tight. I loosened the pivot screw just a hair and applied a drop of clipper oil. Problem solved.

Was looking for a good home general purpose pair of scissors and that is what I got. I do not see any quality issues with these, they seem like they will last a long time. One thing I like is that they have a smooth cut.UPDATE:Okay so its been almost four years now and so far these scissors are still going strong in my house. Now I must say that I would not consider my family a frequent user family as in we use these regularly but not constantly like a business would. I will say though, that a year ago we got a three pack of scotch scissors from costco and since then those scissors are no longer as sharp as these fiskars, and their screw constantly loosens. While these fiskars are still sharp and tight. Because of my quality experience and the price of these I changed my initial review from 4 to 5 stars.

Very nice scissors for general household use. I have a total of 3 in different locations in my house so they are always handy.

They're very sharp, straight, and durable (storage-wise--I keep these with my tools for work). I don't use them often enough to know how well they hold the edges, however. For my purposes, the tips of these are a much sharper (pointier) than I'd like (despite the flat tip) so keep that in mind. They do make kids scissors with blunt (rounded) tips, but unfortunately they don't make a blunt tip version of this particular size. Still, unlike some cheap scissors with tips that bend and quickly go dull (or were not sharp enough to begin with), these are good enough that I've bought a set for work and for home. This can cut through blister packaging pretty easily.

these are a very affordable set of basic scissors, replacing a set of Henkel's that were worn out. Highly recommend.
Still the best cut
Fiskars cutting technology remains world class. Be aware that the handles are thinner than previous ( no doubt to make them ambidextrous). Personally I like this, but if you're used to older-style "shaped" Fiskars handles, this may be a surprise.
