5.0 out of 5 stars Very good and very filling.
To be honest, I didn't know what to expect from this product. I have never purchased Gnocchi before and have never even eaten it, but I wanted to try a recipe for Creamy Garlic Chicken with Gnocchi and Spinach. I found this De Cecco Potato Gnocchi on Bolo and was surprised that it's a shelf-safe product (no refrigeration necessary, which is a plus). The recipe called for pre-cooked Gnocchi which is added to the rest of the ingredients along with the spinach toward the end, so I followed the instructions and it was so easy to prepare. It cooks quickly (5-6 minutes) and the 1 lb. package made a LOT. With the 1.5 lbs of chicken I ended up with a huge amount of food for three people, so I was hoping everyone would like this new dish. They did. Like myself, my brother and sister-in-law had never had Gnocchi either and they loved those "potato dumplings" and the creamy garlic recipe. It was very filling and we had a lot of leftovers which we all ate for lunch for a couple of days. I don't know if $7.95 is a good price for this product or not, but it was well worth it for me. I'm now sold on Gnocchi and will definitely be buying more. I'll have to find some more recipes to experiment with, but my family said the Creamy Garlic Chicken and Gnocchi was a "keeper," so I'll at least be making that again sometime.

The best grocery store gnocchi there is! It is so quick and easy to prepare and so delicious.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love these.
These are one of my favorite foods. Delicious.
4.0 out of 5 stars Reach for these when you just have to have some quick gnocchi
The De Cecco Potato Gnocchi packs are a life saver for the gnocchi lover jonesing for an Italian style potato fix. I just love potato gnocchi. Problem is, making gnocchi from scratch, by far the best, sometimes isn't possible. Pre-made packaged gnocchi do not use fresh potatoes of course. They are made with dehydrated potato flakes, re-hydrated in production and mixed with flour in a process that approximates real gnocchi making. Not all packaged gnocchi are created equal. Even in Italy, where most grocery stores sell ready made gnocchi, there is a wide range of brands and quality. Store bought gnocchi can range from gut bombs to near sublime almost like the real thing. The thing to look for on the package is the percent of potato flakes used in making the product. The De Cecco Potato Gnocchi product uses 80% potatoes. I have seen some bargain brands with as low as 30% potatoes. What could all that extra bulk be? Better to not know. End of day these De Cecco Potato Gnocchi are pretty good ready made gnocchi, although not as good as the Nonna Rina refrigerated brand I buy in Tuscany. But, when you need some gnocchi and gnocchi must be had these are good ready made gnocchi. RECOMMENDED.

1.0 out of 5 stars Moisture in packaging & weird aftertaste
I've only eaten gnocchi at restaurants but tried making it for the first time last week using DeLallo's Gnocchi that I bought through Bolo Fresh. It was so good that I've been craving more since. I decided to try De Cecco's Gnocchi because it had the "#1 Best Seller" banner on Bolo and I love their Thin Spaghetti. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived this morning in time for me to use it to make lunch. I noticed moisture inside all the packages. (See photos. It's sold as a set of four.) Because of the moisture, I was worried mold would grow even though it's supposed to be shelf stable and good till 11/1/2024 but thought, I'll just quickly cook and eat it all in the next couple of weeks. Never have I eaten gnocchi with such a weird aftertaste, almost chemical like. I wish I could return this cause I can't bring myself to eat these with this weird aftertaste. I will never buy gnocchi from De Cecco again. Unless you're going to season the gnocchi heavily so you can't taste the gnocchi at all, don't buy it.Please note that I still love De Cecco's thin spaghetti and will continue to buy that.
3.0 out of 5 stars Weird smell
They have a play dough like smell to them. And one package I got was wet and bloated. So eh.
