I just used this for a 2023 6.2 GMC engine (lack of oil changes caused engine damage). It doesn't come with pre installed lifting brackets. The chain worked perfectly and I even rolled the hoist around the shop with the engine still hanging so I would have more space to work instead of in my small service bay. I transferred the exhaust manifolds and a few small parts over with the engine still hanging, chained up the new engine, and installed it without issue. The chain will be used again. For this price it's an easy decision to buy it, even if you are only going to use it once- especially if the engine you are working with does not come with pre installed lifting brackets. I could see using this for transmissions and other heavy parts as well.

So this lift chain took care of a nearly complete Ford Big Block 460 Engine, with accessories, cast iron heads and cast iron intake which is probably pretty close to the rated max load and did show any signs of stress or stretching. My only complaint is, for an engine this size I could have used 3 to 4 extra links in the chain (a little longer). But some appropriate bolt hole selection got the job done.

Hoist Chain was exactly what I needed. Engine sits far back into engine bay the 4 point adjustable one I have didn’t fit. Hold engine and transmission with no issues. Wouldn’t leave hanging long term. Priced perfectly.

Swapped a EJ253 in and out of a Subaru outback. I was worried considering theres some pictures of the chain breaking at the ends but luckily i was able to get this done before anything happened. for the price this could be a once time use chain or buy some end links that are stronger.

Jus what the dr ordered great fit and price should last a life time used it the day after I got it , very strong quality and better than just a chain this has grab tab that’s slides or jumps as needed link to link to adjust tilt very nice build use on 4 cyl or v8 can’t beat the price works great

For this price it's an easy decision to buy it, even if you are only going to use it once- especially if the engine you are working with does not come with pre installed lifting brackets. I could see using this for transmissions and other heavy parts as well.
