5.0 out of 5 stars If your a G-Unit and Dirty South fan, Bleek isn't for you

J. · July 14, 2005

I've been a Bleek fan since he started showin on Jay's albums, and I understand why he's never made it big in the main stream. He has a lot of tracks about killin and violence (lots of gun references in his songs) and when it comes to the cash and H-O music that gets pumped out every 5 minutes, he doesn't follow the mold that Lil Jon and 50 Cent have formed - then again Coming of Age came out before crap like In Da Club, Candy Shop, So Fly, Yeah etc....Anyways this is by far Bleek's most mature album - The Understanding was his first I bought and probably my fav- but this is the most well produced one.He continues to Rap about his life, not his bank account and rims:Quick ReviewAlright -whether you like the Ja Rule or Lil Scrappy styles of hip hop, anyone can appreciate thisStraight Path - he always has a song or 2 like this - "Regular Cat", "Everyday", "In My Life", "Understand Me Still" - if you liked any of those you'd like thisSmoke The Pain Away - nice laid back song - not quite like "I Get High""Oh Baby" & "First Last and Only" - good hard beats"Dear Summer", "Like That", "The One", "Infatuted" - the "marketable" songs on this albumOverall - "The One" and "Hater free" are the only songs I'm not too fond of but this album is one of the best BK and ROC joints in recent memory.

5.0 out of 5 stars DEAR BLEEK!

I've been a Bleek fan since Reasonable Doubt, allI kept saying is who is the young boy, talking about " I knew all about a dope fiend before reading Donald Goines". To me that line speaks volumes. Then he comes back on Hardknock Life, and says "the nosy b*tch from the 3rd floor is like why little nigg*" and who is hotter then that.People say Jay just keeps Bleek at his side and he is his side kick blah blah blah. People tell me please who would'nt mind being Jay-Z' side kick???? In the Diamonds are Forever remix Jay even addresses this and says "Bleek will always be a millionaire, he is in his will somewhere" His first cd was the hottest, all the other's were okay, they had songs you could listen to. His last cd could have been much more. Everything's a Go was hot as h-ll!This cd is hot as they come right now! I was never a M.O.P fan but they got that on First Last and Only, that is hot!If you want a hip hop cd you can listen to all the way through this is it.Roc-a-Fella GETS BUSY!

4.0 out of 5 stars Soild effort from Bleek

One of the hottest hip hop albums of the year. Beats are sweet and the hooks are even better. After hearing this album you'll realize there is still hope for hip hop. Too many times have i bought albums to only hear 2 or 3 decent tracks lately. With bleeks new album you'd be lucky to find 2 tracks you don't like and even if you do i'm garenteeing they'll even grow on you. With the purchase of this album its nice to be able to put a cd into your car and not take it out 10 minutes later.I'd list the best tracks off of this album but I'd jus be repeating the album track list. But my personal fav's areOh BabyHater freeIf you a hip hop fan and dont' pick this album up, then stop pretendin and get yo'self a nelly album

5.0 out of 5 stars Diamonds Are Forvever
