After damaging my hair quite badly earlier this year, I was experiencing a lot of breakage and generally unhealthy looking hair.After a lot of research, I found many people recommending this (along with the Balancing Moisturiser). Apparently it’s an ‘OG’ in the natural hair community!I bought them separately as the the moisturiser bottle is significantly smaller in the kit, and I have A LOT of hair (less than before though).I wouldn’t say it is difficult to use, but you do have to follow the instructions to the letter:Wash your hair, apply generously on clean damp hair, allow to dry (preferably blow dry) until rock hard. DO NOT TOUCH OR MANIPULATE AT THIS STAGE! Rinse out thoroughly and follow with the Balancing Moisturiser.Application is messy, the solution is sticky, and it will get everywhere, but all of the pros outweigh the cons.My hair, which has never experienced breakage, was breaking off every time I brushed or washed it. After this treatment, I have had ZERO breakage whatsoever. It is extremely effective, one just has to be aware of balancing protein and moisture in their routine.I’ve used this twice, about 8 weeks apart, and will continue at the same interval until the bottle is finished. I may repurchase if necessary, or I may downgrade to a less intensive treatment like the Aphogee Hair Strengthening 2-pack, or the 2-min Keratin Reconstructor.Highly highly recommend for damaged, breaking hair.

Listen. My hair was out here crackling like a Dorito. Overprocessed, overbleached, overcooked by a stylist who swore she “knew what she was doing.” Lies.This stuff? A literal resurrection in a bottle. I thought I was going bald. I thought the only thing left to do was apologize to my scalp and start over. But ApHogee said “not on my watch.”Smells wild (like a science experiment), feels stiff while it's working, but trust the process. My hair came back from the dead stronger, shinier, and with attitude. Like it knew it had survived a war.10/10. Would recommend to anyone whose hair is holding on by a prayer and a scrunchie.

If you understand the difference between protein, moisture, and bond building treatments, and you know your damaged hair needs protein badly, this might be a terrific product for you. But if that's not you, move along, you really don't want this.Using this is a nuisance, and can damage your hair if you get it wrong, so if your hair needs protein but not really badly, I'd pick another product. Aphogee 2-minute is good for that. Definitely don't buy this without reading the instructions first.If your hair is damaged from bleaching, perming, straightening, relaxing, or other chemical services, and you don't know what it needs, start with Olaplex - it almost certainly needs that most.The directions on this say to comb it through your hair, but I find that's usually not feasible or necessary. Other than that, follow the directions and be very careful of your hair when it's hardening.

Okay, let me preface this by saying I have been in the hair game for a while, over a decade I believe. I understand moisture and protein balance, length retention, etc. So I am not a novice. So tell me why I let all my knowledge slide when my hair started breaking uncontrollably. I am talking clumps - granted, I did go through some stressful event and just attributed it to that.I then realized how Aphogee had come through for me before so I was like "Add to cart". These are the steps I followed and let me tell you, breakage reduced by 90%. (I do not want to lie and say 100% because then your expectations would be unrealistic)1. I clarified my hair to ensure there was no product build up2. I wore gloves as this thing gets messy and sticky3. I sectioned my hair into 4 and applied from the bottle to my gloved hand to my hair4. I smoothed in using my fingers and then LEFT IT ALONE5. The instructions say DO NOT COVER WITH A PLASTIC CAP. DO not, as removing might agitate the hair - because once the solution sets, it dries like a hard rock6. I do not have a hooded drier so I used my Dyson dryer which did the job in about 5minutes7. I left it on for another 5 minutes and at this point, I was pushing the limit because I was becoming John Snow (Game of thrones fans will understand this)8. I rinsed it out GENTLY. Please be gentle. At this point, the hair is pretty much like crackers. Don't go losing all your hair because you were not gentle.Now the biggest flex was when I followed up with a moisturizing conditioner, it was SLIP ALL THE WAY! So we killed 2 hair birds with one Aphogee stone- reduced breakage and increased moisture retention.This will also last forever. Get it!

I love love love this product. It’s contribute to the great health of my natural hair. I use it then I use the balancing moisturizer treatment that softens my hair type, strengthens my hair and is for all the hair type is easy to use is a bit sticky when dry and makes your hair stiff, but is effective.

Hair Repair Miracle
Let me start by saying that this product helped me through a terrible hair crisis. Due to a chemical reaction, my hair turned to gum and I lost 3/4 of my long, beautiful hair:( I wish I'd known about this before my catastrophe. After I found this, it changed my hair texture back from gum to normal, strong hair. I will say that it did not change the texture, so it didn't help with frizz but it definitely rebonded the rest of my gummy hair. I now skip the 2nd step and use my own extreme moisture product, because step 2 stinks WAY too much and it's more like a conditioner.The process is weird. You wash, them apply, dry it, and then rinse and condition. I find it very sticky while I'm using it but I now use it every 6 weeks or so to maintain the integrity of my hair. I lost my hair almost 6 months ago and since I started to use this, I haven't lost anymore.
