I really like these beans and haven't had them in ages. Local stores don't seem to carry them. So when I saw them here I ordered 3 cans. I always add ingredients to these to suit my taste. Well, alas, it is not in the cards for me to enjoy them again. All 3 cans were dented when they arrived and I did not dare to use them so tossed them out. Pity I was so looking forward to these beans once again. 🥲

Van Kamp are always good. No, they are first rate and super tasty with just the right amount of tomato sauce! Eat them plain or cut up a hotdog and include it in the pan while you’re heating the beans for an extra little something to enjoy!

These are the best on the grocery shelves. I drain the liquid and doctor the beans up for more flavoring. Usually make them homemade, but in a pinch, these are fine with a little help. We are not a fan of the canned beans already artificially flavored with other chemicals.
