This Classic Rock Gold music cd has an excellent mix of songs representing the classic rock music genre on two cds: Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf, American Woman by Guess Who, Maggie May by Rod Stewart, Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress by The Hollies, Radar Love by Golden Earring, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet by Bachmann Turner Overdrive, Two Tickets To Paradise Eddie Money, Just What I Needed The Cars, Rock You Like A Hurricane Scorpions, Hold On 38 Special, Foghat, Cold As Ice Foreigner, Show Me The Way Peter Frampton etc. I confess that I am an eclectic music listener though I was indirectly inspired to get a various artists compilation after nearly a month recently listening to various hits via a local classic radio station before leaving for work (Loverboy, Van Halen, Tom Petty, The Doors, Scorpions were some of the most recent bands played on this local radio station). Anyhow this Classic Rock Gold cd is fun to listen to if you are either an eclectic music listener andor enjoy listening to classic rock songs that you have either heard via your local area radio station andor any place else offline andor online you get your classic rock music listening fix.

This is a great two CD set of classic gold rock. Very diverse offerings of songs from differentsubsets of rock and roll. Many of these tunes were originally mastered for the radio and therefore had an elevated treble and upper midrange making them rather “ in the face” sounding. Due to excellent remastering, that nastiness is gone. All the sound is there just much more listenable. You can turn this disc up in the car or on a nice stereo rig and it will sound great!

Love it (well some of it)
My 16 year old is developing a taste for rock music and has exhausted the significant, but focussed collection which I possess. I purchased this compilation for him to allow him to broaden his horizons somewhat and to allow him to listen to examples of classic rock tunes over 40 years. He loves it and plays some of the tracks sufficiently often as to drive me up the wall.On a more positive note, I like it to! it contains some real rock classics and wther you are 16 or 61 (me) there is something for everyone.
