Worst drill I have ever used.1. There is no control of the speed. It is either nothing or 100%.2. Motor started smoking after running the drill while mixing some grout.3. A little bit awkward to handle, but you can get past that.4. Looks nice, but not the quality of Dewalt that I am used to.

This hammer drill is the way to go for anytime you need to drill into concrete or brick. I had this exact same drill for the last 15 years and it finally burnt up but I worked it pretty hard during that time. I used my Dewalt battery hammer drill afterwards and nearly burnt that up when drilling a hole into concrete. And it never went very deep. So I bought this corded Dewalt hammer drill again and it’s amazing how much of a difference it is. It drilled through that same hole like butter. Definitely a good drill.

Hammer time.
For the odd time you need a hammer drill, you always wished you had one. This is a solid drill. Works very well with and has loads of power. If you have a house with lots of brick, you'll end up using one of these more than you know. And you'll save time. Just used it again to hang some Christmas lights and mount a mantel to my fireplace.

I never thought I will consider "made in Mexico" will be a better choice than "made in China" . Nominal 8.5 A power. 51000BPM , very easy control of the drill speed. Recommended. It looks like American producer controls much easier Mexican manufacturer than the Asian ones. Quality is evident, design is outstanding. Spend a little bit more and you save a lot for the next years.

This is my first DeWalt purchase and I'm simply amazed. I had concerns about handling (with it being a heavier tool) but it turns out these are much easier to operate than I thought.Performance was exceptional — like a hot knife through butter. There was virtually no skipping of the bit tip upon applying power.
