We had the Arborist spray their chemicals but weren't 100% sure on how effective they were. This was another option in the arsenal. Easy to deploy - took about 10 minutes per tree.It would appear that it is working. All 3 trees on our property were treated with chemical injections into the soil, including one in the common area. Our two trees also received the Acecap 97 Implants. The one in the common area that did not receive the implants doesn't look as healthy. Branches are still dying off. Our two are stable with no additional browning or lost of leaves. So, I guess the combo worked. Total cost between the 2 treatments has been about $60 for each of our 2 trees. Definitely going to stock up on this stuff!

I bought these for our 7 year old Ash tree.We planted this tree about three years before the news of the emerald ash borer came out. Initially it did not show any signs of having the emerald ash borer. However, after a couple years it was showing signs of distress. So I have used this treatment for two years in a row. It seems to be working – – the tree still shows some signs of distress but it has not gotten any worse.

I have one big ash tree in my front yard. I did not want to cut it down as it's the main yard tree and shades the house nicely. I've used this plus the drench which is a different chemical annually for the last 2 years. My ash tree recovered nicely. The drench alone was helping but not getting the job done but these added the knock out punch. My neighbors spend hundreds on tree services that don't work and those guys take all day to treat a tree. 15 minutes and I'm done for the year for only the price of a lunch. Then I just bought a Black and Decker 8 inch pole chainsaw from Bolo and cut off the dead limbs and new ones sprouted out. Tree is looking good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Saver, for plants

    M.E. · April 12, 2015

I wish more people knew of these. They have saved all my eucalypts trees when all others were dying around us. These smell bad, but work very well. These work from the inside of the plant, so there is no worry with kids or animals touching them. I also as a extra precaution put a small dab of silicone over the cap after it is inserted.

I'm one of the few left in my neighborhood with an Ash Tree that is still standing strong. Actually have two of them and have had a few people ask what they are. Especially in the fall when they develop a deep purple color. Stay away you nasty ash borers.
