The Viper V-Factor steel tip darts are designed with high quality, 90% tungsten and 10% nickel barrels, offering exceptional balance and styling. Using a dense metal like tungsten creates a slim profile dart barrel compared to a dart without tungsten. The higher the percentage of tungsten used, the smaller the profile, allowing for a closer grouping of darts to maximize scoring. Intended for use with sisal/bristle dartboards and are ideal for intermediate-to-advanced level players. Each barrel has strategically placed knurled bands, deep grooves and rings that make excellent gripping points and encourages consistent hand placement. Viper V-Factor darts are equipped with heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum shafts with locking holes. Locking holes in the shaft allow for a tighter fitting to the barrel that improves stability and greatly reduces the need to retighten during play. Quality flights are constructed to help increase speed and reduce drag, delivering a consistent flight path for pinpoint accuracy; detailed graphics are prominently displayed for added flare. These darts include an additional set of convex nylon shafts, flights, flight protectors and a dart mechanic wrench. The Viper V-Factor darts and accessories are fashionably stored and protected in the Deluxe Dart Pal case, which features a soft cloth lining and a hard outer shell.

I just got these and have only thrown them for a few hours, but I've already noticed a little improvement with my grip. I hold the barrel towards the rear, so I needed darts with a bit of grip back there. These do the trick. My previous darts were designed more for a front grip, which didn't suit me well. These Vipers are great for my style. It's good to finally have some tactile feedback when holding, aiming, and throwing; basically guaranteeing that I position my fingers the same way every throw.As for the shafts and flights, they are very basic. The shafts are black nylons, probably mediums or longs. The flights are standard shape, but seem a little thicker than normal. Anyway, I use other stuff, so this review and 5 stars is really just for the barrels.Happy shooting!
