Definitely one of Vin's iconic roles. If you haven't seen this movie, rent it. It's a great action movie with some great music and great one liners.

I went to see the latest XXX without having watched the first so I got home and rented this (just after seeing the second). I liked the second one better. Vin is great to watch no matter what so he rocked both movies. I enjoyed the story of the new one-I won't give anything away incase you haven't seen it yet! The characters were fascinating in the second as well. Perhaps a bit more action.This movie, as to rate it instead of compare, had action-skateboard, bike, even a ski scene which was pretty cool to watch; Vin showing his beautiful muscles; a story line that was OK. I certainly wasn't watching for the story. Samuel L. adds his shine to a dull-ish watch.

I enjoyed the movie itself for what it was: good old fashioned escapist fun. The directors cut was actually in my opinion better then the theatrical version. There were some scene extensions that I thought were somewhat useful. But what I really enjoyed about the extended version was 2 additional scenes not included in the original release. The first scene was Xander Cage on a flight to Prague and a teenage boy telling him he could be the good guy, which is what he becomes by the end of the film. The second was Yorgi finding out that Xander is an American agent sent to spy on the terrorist group he leads called Anarchy 99.

This was good to waste a bit of time with. I like the premise of a spy that is on the other end of the spectrum from Bond. Horrible accents though.
