VERY VERY NICE SHAMPOO!
I am allergic to fragrances and have extremely dry, sensitive skin. Have tried hundreds of shampoos, including prescription ones, and this by far is AWESOME. My hair feels clean, soft and my scalp clean with no irritation whatsoever! OVER THE MOON.Thank you for a great product.
That it actually works
What a great shampoo. I have extremely sensitive skin and have tried so many names to even mention that contained the amount (contents) as Vanicream ranging in price from$13 to close to $30 and none were as effective in relieving my symptoms. The extreme- times- of maddening itching. I visited with my dermatologist and she prescribed Ketocanazole medicated shampoo.After using - following directions —waiting 5 minutes before rinsing and a dozen attempts and still could not realize the results I needed to make a difference . After trying so much I came across Vanicream. I had never heard of it. I was in for a surprise. Immediately with the first usage I felt relief. I was stunned. All extreme itchiness disappeared. Before I found Vanicream I was buying a Gallon of Dial Antimicrobial soap not antibacterial but antimicrobial for sensitive skin. It helped somewhat but not enough. And was roughly $39 a gallon. Along with using Dial sensitive antimicrobial soap My Dr. prescribed a prescription for Hydroxizine 50mg 4 times daily to contain allergy type itching symptoms. Many more times more effective than other anti itch over the counter medications. With Vanicream, -I no longer use Hydroxizine except for I x at nighttime as it helps one sleep as it also induces drowsiness as a side effect but used specifically as an anti allergy anti itching agent- and for me—was much more effective than Melatonin. My next major concern is how far one bottle of Vanicream would last. And another surprising revelation. How much would I have to use to cleanse my hair and be effective. At first, I used the same portion from my refillable bottle of Dial and found I could use 1/2 to 3/4 less of a portion with Vanicream. This was crazy. Though it’s not advertised as concentrated- it certainly works like concentrated. The same size portion- using 3 pumps of Dial-I only needed one pump of Vanicream. Transferring to a refillable pump bottle creates a metered amount for each pump, rather than pouring onto my hand - the amount varies with each usage. - making the pump bottle a better method. Making it also last longer with each metered pump along with how concentrated it is -than any previously used hair product. And I had never heard of Vanicream!. . Also I found out I do not need to use a conditioner which may or may not be the case for each individual that uses this product. .Accompanying Vanicream I use Ginger Lily Farms Club & Fitness Nourishing Body Wash, 100% Vegan. I buy that in the gallon form for $21. And it works equally as well as Dial using the same portion. With Vanicream using the same portion as Ginger Lilly Farms and Dial -.I found that I could have easily cleansed from my hair to my waist. With each metered pump. it is not only long lasting but an incredible value that works with the symptoms described in their description. I am still in shock that I found this shampoo. Maybe shock is too strong of a word. But stunned is not. I finally found a product that works that I wished I had known about years ago. It certainly is providing the relief I needed which is Stunning.

If you’ve got a sensitive scalp, this stuff is about as no-nonsense and reliable as it gets. No strong smell, no weird ingredients. just a clean, gentle wash that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.It lathers nicely without feeling harsh, and it doesn’t leave your hair stripped or dry. I like that it actually helps with buildup and flakes without being medicated or heavy.It’s the kind of shampoo you don’t have to think about. you just use it, and your hair feels clean and your scalp stays calm. Simple, dependable, and great for everyday use.

I have both the Vanicream bottles and the Free & Clear bottles of the shampoo. I've noticed no difference between the two.I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin, as well as chronic eczema for over 20 years. I have to be very careful of the products I use. Including soap. I can't use most soaps. And nothing with fragrance.I also have chronic migraines, and fragrance is a huge migraine trigger for me. So fragrance is a big issue for me.Fragrance Free and Unscented do not mean the same thing. Fragrance free does not mean zero odor. It means they add no "fragrance." And it means they add no "masking agents" which are chemicals used to get rid of an odor. Unscented means they do not add fragrance but they may add masking agents.This shampoo is fragrance free and thus has no fragrance and no masking agents. It has a slight odor to it while using but it's very mild, and it does not cling to the hair after hair is dry. If I had to compare the odor to something I'd say it's just a clean unscented soap kind of smell.Like others have mentioned, I have to use more product. I have to use about one-half to twice as much as I used with normal shampoos. But that's totally acceptable for me.This shampoo does not aggravate my eczema. And it does not trigger migraines.It is a big more drying on my hair strands than I would like, but using the conditioner helps. But perhaps what I should be saying is that this shampoo isn't as moisturizing as traditional shampoos. My hair is not dried by this shampoo, it just is not moisturized. My hair still feels soft to the touch.My hair is not dyed, bleached, or chemically altered. Back when I used to dye or bleach my hair I needed extra moisture and this shampoo may not have worked for me.
You want lather, this is the one to have.
This shampoo was recommended by my dermatologist as I should have shampoo and soap without any chemicals and clear and free. This may be a small bottle of shampoo, but you only need a drop of the size of about a dime to get more lather than you would ever need.
Great Shampoo For Allergies
I'm really excited I found this Vanicream shampoo, it finally helped relieve some of my allergies! I have an autoimmune disease (Hashimotos) which makes me sensitive and allergic to many things. The previous shampoos I used for years caused pimples on the back of my neck along the hairline and the skin below my ear, and also irritated my eyes. My hair also used to be oily after it dried. When I first tried Vanicream, my hair felt very rubbery and it was hard to lather the shampoo into my hair. However, since it cleared up my skin, I tolerated the annoying process because it was better than nothing. It took about 1-2 months before my hair "softened" and it became much easier to lather shampoo into my hair. The shampoo can be a bit drying, but since I have thin, oily hair, it actually works very well for my hair and makes it fluffy when dry now. I also use it as a body wash.After testing this out for 8+ months, I highly recommend!
