I got this cleaner and have to say that right after a few minutes the hard stuff flaked away. I left it in for about 3 hours then I shaked and rinsed the unit a few times and there was plenty of flakes coming out. Even with out ok water there was plenty that came out.What should I say, the steamer is steaming like there is no tomorrow.There is also almost no noise during steaming, an welcome side effect.I can wholeheartedly recommend this cleaner.

This cleaner will help keep my brand new Jiffy Steamer working for years.One thing folks do not know about steamers is they need to be cleaned every 3-6 months. I purchased the Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner (3 Pack). One bottle for every 3 months or so will keep all the sediment from forming. Also, you need to empty the water every time you are finished using the steamer. Leaving water sitting eventually causes build up in the hose and container causing the machine to slow the force of the steam and you think it is broken.So happy with the Jiffy Steamer and prepared to use it for years to come by using the Jiffy steamer cleaner!!!!!

Had NEVER cleaned my poor Esteam Jiffy Cleaner I bought in 2007. It did get 80% of the extreme build up off of the inside. I've done multiple cleanings and it may never be 100% clean again. Probably would have worked perfectly if I had known to clean it and kept up with cleaning it all these years. Unfortunately, when I first opened the box, 1 of the bottles had leaked (minor amount) and I got it on my bare hands before I had a chance to read the labels and the toxic warnings. Quickly rinsed off well, but was turning the exposed skin red, so BE CAREFUL when you first open the box!

A great value. I have the travel jiffy steamer and for this steamer it says to pour half the bottle into the steamer so this is definitely a great buy because I pretty much only use one bottle twice. I had been using vinegar to clean my steamer in the past. Well, my steamer is not at its point that vinegar can no longer work. But this cleaner removed a lot of the residual minerals that vinegar couldn’t! I would highly recommend if you’re trying to keep your jiffy steamer working well.

I am amazed at how the steamer is now working - after it's first cleaning in at least 10 years! It no longer stops steaming, or drips when being used. I followed the package directions, but the solution did not enter the steamer so, thanks to other reviewers, it was successful when I poured the solution into the steamer hose opening instead of where the water enters the body of the steamer. Great product!

Just received my 3 10 oz. bottles of WHINK Professional Strength Appliance Descaler. I wish I had thought to purchase a descaled from my local hardware store, as I'm sure this will do the trick on the steam cleaner. But the item is not listed as WHINK descaled. It's listed as "Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner." If you think you're buying the official brand and wonder why it's listed at a lower cost than the competitors, it's because you're not buying the official JIFFY brand.I used the product after I wrote the review and am changing my original review from 2 stars to 3 because the product did what it is supposed to do. Still thing the photo needs to be changed, but it is a good product. My steamer now works like new.

Our J-2000 steamer had stopped working well and at first I didn't realize what the problem was. I had tried to clean it using white vinegar, but it didn't help and I thought the steamer had burnt out or something. I bought this as a last resort and I'm so glad I did; our steamer is back to normal! Instructions are available on Jiffy Steamer's website and it's really easy.

My Jiffy steamer is at least a decade old and I have never cleaned it. I have not really had to, as it has worked flawlessly every time. I used a whole bottle and it did as it states; it removed the lime scale and crusty build up. It was a bit gross to see what came out of the machine. yuck. I am definitely going to use this product every six months for maintenance.
