I usually use brown rice, but this was much yummier. Super convenient, no need to rinse (time-consuming and sometimes messy) - just pop bag into water and boil for 10 minutes. And I love that it's the tri-color little guys with different textures.

Ok for a quick meal dish. Still has a bit of a waxy taste like a lot of these instant rice packages. But we usually use this with something that has a sauce, like frozen General chicken, or orange chicken, so the taste is not as important. I would not eat this plain, if I am serving it as a plain side dish I add a lot of butter. But so much easier than using my rice cooker when it comes to clean up!
