This product is well worth the extra money rather than using vanilla extract to substitute. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to put a nice strong and rich flavor into any thing you are making which calls for vanilla bean or vanilla extract. We used it in a homemade vanilla ice cream recipe and felt like we were eating fine restaurant quality dessert. The cost may cause you to rethink, but just think about it, gourmet flavor isn't free. Well worth it!!

Both vanilla beans were so dry I couldn't scrape seeds out of them without the entire bean turning to dust. Only going to be able to use these beans whole to make my own extract I guess. Not at all worth the $22 (at time of purchasing). Will not be purchasing again. Maybe I'll have better luck with a different brand or vendor.

Sorta disappointed. This is really a top brand, so I didn’t expect to have what feels like two twigs in the jar. I know the price of everything has sky-rocketed, but this was way too expensive! The taste is definitely there, but it was slightly difficult to work with because they’re so hard. That can’t be fresh; maybe headed towards expiration? Idk but I won’t order it again.
