I needed to cut the "hoop" off of a stainless steel "charm" for a craft project. The "charm" had previously messed up a cheap pair of wire cutters which were made for copper wire. This item made quick work of the project with no damage to the nibbler. It is hefty, and seems sturdy even though is was inexpensive. I may never use it again, but it was exactly what I needed and will go in my craft tool box.

Liked that this was a vertical nibbler like pneumatic ones I’ve seen. I looked at some that were called nibblers, but they cut with a horizontal action like tin snips, and created a curling bit of cut material that gets in the way. Vertical allows tighter turns, and each nibble is cut completely out, as you would expect, making it easy to follow a line. Used it to cut a hole in soft aluminum sheet, so can’t say how it would do with harder material, but it did a nice job with the aluminum. Was inexpensive, but didn’t feel cheap. You would get blisters using it for an extended period, but works great for smaller projects. I’m pretty satisfied.

Got this a few days ago and used it to nibble out the back panel of an old dvd player so I could then install my own front panel. Metal was ferrous, so I wasn't sure if it could handle it, as these are meant for mostly aluminum, or so I thought. Reading the packaging, it says it can handle unhardened metal up to 1.2mm. The panel I was working on was about .7mm so I gave it a shot. It cut through it fine, about 100 cuts. I don't know if replacement blades are available, and I can't speak to overall longevity, but this one worked fine for something I was thinking to use a straight grinder on.

Works well. Used it to guitar fret tangs. I just cut a slot for the fret using a dremel.
Worked on Sintons Jumbo stainless steel frets
You have to cut a groove into the tool for the fret to fit, but once you get a good fit it works on frets. Don't know how long it will last but so far so good.

Ich knipse damit, an den Bundenden, Kerben in Edelstahl -Bunddraht; funktioniert super. Ich musste allerdings, vorher, einen kleinen Schlitz in die Kopfplatte feilen, damit es passt. Günstiger bekommt man keinen Fret-Tang-Nipper.
