I own a swim spa. About once a year one of the four plumbing connections that enter the spa's jet pump needs to be tightened because it begins to leak. A service call from the company that manufactured the spa costs $75.00. It got old paying that annual bill so I decided to figure out how to tighten the connection myself. The pipe wrench was too bulky to do much good as the area of access does not have much room to accommodate a pipe wrench. A channel lock wouldn't open wide enough to do the job. I had a large pair of pliers that would open wide enough but I couldn't get enough torque to do the job. Other creative ideas (such as a strap wrench) didn't work for various reasons. After searching for a wrench, I decided to purchase the Lisle 50750. Upon using this wrench, the job was done in about 30 seconds. Yes, the application of the Lisle wrench to a swim spa plumbing connection will not be a typical application. But I write this review for this reason. The wrench is well constructed. It was easy to get a grip on the handle, the angle of the wrench was perfect for my task and will help in oil filter removal as well, it is sturdy. I tried a flimsier solution which did not work. The grip at the end of the wrench that grabbed the plumbing fixture was excellent! I needed a man's wrench for this job ... the Lisle fit the bill.

Heavy duty with 2 grips on each blade had an old pair for 30 years they work great on all except on bigger filters i believe to be 4.5. Wish they came in just a little bigger like to 5.5

i work at a busy auto shop. these have become the "go to" oil filter pliers at my shop. they really are great, and they do their job very well. they are well made, easy to work with, and have awesome grip on most automobile sized oil filters. their length and angled head really shine on the harder to access filters (where the others fail.) i use these daily and highly recommend them. for me it was money very well spent.

Best oil filter pliers you will have. 90% of other manufacturers make the pliers jaw at an angle...why would you do that? Was about to buy a blu-point version on the truck but then found this and it's the same angle of the jaw that I need for replacing the oil filters on a Maserati GT. Thank you!

Good all around oil filter pliers. Doesnt do well with Diesel oil filters I recommend buying the one with different angle, one longer than the other grip for that use. But all around works for most filters.
