5.0 out of 5 stars Good tool

Worked good on my junk Ford Fusion, friends don’t let other friends buy Fords lol!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as described!

I was debating between this and the brake press/winding kit but honestly this thing has covered the vehicles I needed it too. I just completed a 2020 F150 with rear electronic brakes - per the factory service manual you do not have to wind these back in UNLESS you compress them and there is still not enough room to get the caliper over the new rotors and pads. This was my case so I used this little fella and apply slight pressure while turning clockwise in a slow but steady motion and it worked perfectly!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap. It works. Not perfect though.

    t. · August 5, 2024

The tool is cheap and it works. I was able to turn the rear brake calipers on my 2008 Honda Accord with some difficulty. I was afraid that they were seized but seems they were not. With that being said, this tool was for from perfect. It constantly slipped out of place and took quite a bit of force and patience to actually keep in place and turn. If you are a weaker individual or have some form of hand based disability this may not be the tool for you. You need patience and a good grip strength because you are going to be turning a caliper with very little leverage. The recommended tool of a 3/8 drive wrench may not be the correct tool for the job. Either way 4/5 stars. Could be better, but for the price best option around.

This little inexpensive tool will make things a lot easier and faster and since you can use them on a multitude of brake systems it's well worth the money

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked better than my local store and was cheaper!

3.0 out of 5 stars It works, but doesn't compare with more expensive options.

    G. · November 13, 2023

If you only need this once or twice a year to work on a random car, then it is probably fine. But this is certainly not for someone that makes their living in auto repair. It's pretty clumsy to work, but better than a pair of needle nose pliers, and it does do the job so hard to knock it down too much, just not great. For the price, a good solid 4 for occasional use for the repairs at home.

    good value, basic tool

    J. · June 13, 2021

I use these on the rear caliper for my Honda, they work flawlessly! but it only works to a certain extend as u need to push down and turn at the same time, i had a issue where i was unable to turn, and i needed a different tool but overall this works for basic retracting of the caliper.

Go all in and buy a kit instead

    k.g. · May 22, 2019

This product was fine. It didn’t do the job that I needed it to do. If I were to do it again, I would buy a complete kit. The issue is that I needed to apply downward force to the caliper while turning this tool. If the tool is even a little bit off alignment, then it just twists out of the caliper piston. A caliper set can apply this force as well as torsion.

Worked for rear calipers on a 2017 Toyota IM

    J. · October 18, 2022

Worked for rear calipers on a 2017 Toyota IM. Do your self a favor and find a 3/8" T handle and extension to use with this tool. I used a socket ratchet and it was a pain to keep centered as it kept wanting to slip off to the sides - not good for the rubber boot.
