Yummy.I don't know if that's paper on the top and bottom of each piece, because it's hard to peel off, so I ate it them with it on. 🤣🤣I think it's paper candy.But these are definitely the best.

I'm 80 years old, born into an Italian family and this candy has been around ever since I can remember. We always looked forward to holidays because Torrone was sure to be on hand to be enjoyed by one and all. It has a pleasant unique taste, not to be confused with anything else.

My Italian American grandfather got a box of these every Christmas when I was young, over 60 years ago. I was only allowed one (by my mother) because they were his present, not mine. My grandfather would sneak me a couple extra when she wasn't looking.These were almost exactly like I remember them. OK, the packaging has changed a tiny bit, and the edible "paper" that keeps the candy off your fingers is less "interesting." I used to peel the "paper" off and put it on my tongue to melt. But the flavor and texture of the candy are still the same.Surprisingly the package came stamped with a "best by date" almost 2 years distant. Very fresh, very good, I'm very happy.

These classic candies make a great gift, especially to bring as a thank you dinner gift. But if purchased as a single box, its shipped in a thin wall bubble pack envelope which, you can understand, is tossed around during shipping, and too many of the individually boxed inside candies get damaged and not presentable as a gift (to me). The candies are still good to eat since EACH PIECE is factory wrapped in foil and boxed separately. if you can get a friend/s to combine an order for maybe 4 or 5 boxes, they might get shipped in a tougher cardboard box and avoid shipping damage, or get locally..
