This one has a LOT of first-class features. It's like a $40 measure, but for about a quarter of the price. I can't speak as to durability, but it feels and acts like high-quality. Brake button, sharpener, thump tab on the belt clip, super easy to read at any angle, soft rubber outer casing, whiteboard, oversized thumb brake slide lever and a bit lighter than my other pro 25' tape measure are all great features. My favorites are the readability of the tape, button brake and the tab on belt clip. I added photos showing all the special features.Due to the great value, this measure is an easy pick for most purposes. A runaway best choice. And the 16' version is a couple of dollars less. If 16' will suffice for max length, that's a good option as it will be much lighter.

As a leftie in a right handed world and a beginning woodworker, tape measures drive me nuts. Whenever I grap one, it's always upside down and backwards. Then as a beginner, I have to count all the little marks to get the right measurement.This righty leftie tape is amazing. I can read it left to right or right to left since it's marked both ways. And all the in between marks are clearly visible. AND you can write on the big white spot on the side so you don't forget your measurements by the time you get the saw set up . AND there's even a pencil sharpener on the bottom!! Win win!!!!! I'm going to by a couple more so I have one on every work space.

It fits right into the average sized hand and is easy to handle.2. The build quality is solid. The exterior of the tape measure feels well constructed and soft to the touch. It doesn't have any sharp corners or pieces to worry about cutting your hand on. The tape itself has a nylon finish to help protect the numbers and tick marks from wearing away over time.3. It is clear and accurate. All numbers and tick marks are clearly labeled and are easy to read. I would spend half the time figuring out what number a particular tick was supposed to be on my old tape measure, and this eliminates the guesswork and wasted time. I’ve had them all, DEWALT, lurking, Milwaukee, craftsman, and on and on. None can beat this little guy for what it is. Easy to read, reliably works in tough conditions and packed with extra features. I am pretty tough on tapers and am constantly trying to find a better one.I’ve had this one for two major projects now and it is still performing well. I built a 600sqft floating deck with pressure treated lumber and am currently installing a 450, paver stone patio. In both cases the tape has been performing beautifully. Both environments have been dirty weather saw dust, crushed granite, or sand. This tape has been dropped from heights of 8’ and I’ve retracted the tape through PT wood saw dust and leveling sand. It still retracts like the day o bought it.As for the bonus features that I like the most, I’m always guessing at the actual measurements because I’m not the greatest at mental math and this tape labels each and every tick mark on the tape in both directions left and right. Talk about easy to read! I also love the writing surface in the side of the tape to write the measurements with pencil. There is even a pencil sharpener on the side. Thankfully I switching to a pica style long tip mechanical pencil so I can use the sharpener. Would not work for a carpenter pencil. Not that that matters since I also reach for my knife to sharpen those anyways.If I had a wish list, i with the foot markers were a little more bold or perhaps a different color. And I wish the buckle on the side was slightly bigger to make it easier to hook onto my tool belt clip.I would highly recommend this tape! I have bought tapes 4 times this price that kicked the bucket long before this little guy. For the price, I am going to buy a couple more to keep around for when I inevitably bust this one.

This is the best tape measurer I've purchase. Being left handed, it's easy to switch from side to side depending on the project.I will say while the first one lasted about 4 yrs of extensive use until the thumb lock broke. It's plastic and a metal one would've lasted decades. I'd pay more money for one made this way. We'll see how long the second one lasts. If only four years, then the search is on.

Perfect Imperial Only Tape Measure
In the UK, it is nigh on impossible to find an imperial only tape measure nowadays. This tape measure is well made. Having inch fractions clearly labelled on both edges is so much better than having a split between metric and imperial. The pencil sharpener is a nice touch, as is the white label for jotting down measurements on the move. It is a strong measure that easily extends for 8 or 9 feet without collapsing. Two options for locking - temporary hold under the finger and slide lock on top. So easy to use. The spring clip is also much more user friendly than the usual metal bracket. I find imperial is the perfect system for working in wood. It just makes sense. There is no need to work machinist tolerances in wood. So easy to half and quarter using imperial fractions. Doing so encourages working in wood. I have no problem living in a scientific metric world, but please leave me with meaningful units that help me. Who wants to say twenty five point four millimetres when you can simply say 'inch' and then divide into halves each time to make 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 etc.

A must for the serious woodworker
This 25 foot left & right reading measuring tape is the woodworkers pro choice. I've been building cabinets and furniture for some 25 years. always using a regular tape. I finally decided to purchase a lefty to stop reading upside down. But this one is better than I expected, I use it in the wood shop every day now. Not only is it well made and durable, the measurements are in 1/16th increments the entire 25 feet on both sides. someone was thinking like a woodworker or any other craftsman in this design. A nice rubber encased grip and a built in pencil sharpener, a wonderful idea. along with a sort of white board to write in a measurement on the side. another excellent idea for the short memory of a head full of fractions and numbers while your transferring a measurement. This is a must for any craftsman's workshop, its simply the ideal measuring tape. Highly recommend.
