This is my absolute favorite to elevate the taste of any beefy broth or soup, and let me tell you that it's absolutely worth the investment.One of the things that sets it apart from other stock options is just how potent it is. You only need a small amount to add an incredible amount of depth and richness to your dish. When I use it, my soup or stew goes from good to AMAZING, and that's saying something because I'm a pretty good cook if I do say so myself.My only gripe with this stock paste is that it's not as readily available in stores as I would like it to be. But, don't worry, I've got a solution for that. I always make sure to stock up on it because it has a long shelf life and it lasts me the whole year.If you're someone who loves beef-based dishes and wants to take them to the next level, then I highly recommend this stuff.

Minor's lineup of bases are quite good. From seafood, chicken, beef, pork, etc., they do make a difference in the kitchen. I have used several brands of beef base brands, from the cubes to powders and all in between. Only a very few number rises to the top. Some are way too expensive, and I guess this one after all the extras may qualify as on the high end of prices, but at least I know what to expect from this base. It is not a perfect base by a long shot, but it is better than most, and for all purposes a tasty base if done in right measurements. Some of the sodium may be alarming at first, but that is easy to compensate by not using additional sodium if one desires. Minor's is at the top of the pack, they make restaurant quality bases that work consistently, time after time. 4 Stars.

Great flavor addition to soup. Makes a little meat go farther and old meat taste better, don't skimp.Taste as you add, add more and more til you hv the flavorful soup or gravy you're seeking...Store in refrigerator, seems to long term store ok cold one year fine, still flavorful...

For some reason, none of the places where I have traditionally purchased this item have had it in stock for more than the last 6 months. I mean, this situation was getting to the critical mass stage as I was at the bottom of my last container. Bolo to the rescue! This product is so very versatile that it has been a part of my culinary repertoire since culinary arts school, back in the 80s. Additionally, Minor's chicken base and vegetable base are equally indispensable. When a recipe calls for beef broth or stock, this is a much better-tasting alternative when you don't have the many hours necessary to make your own stock. I disagree that it's hyper-salty. Used appropriately, reconstituted as indicated on the label, your product will not suffer from excessive saltiness. Certainly far less than bouillon cubes, which taste synthetic. This tastes almost as natural as if you had spent hours making stock yourself. It makes an epic French onion soup. Blend a tablespoon or more into your meatball or meatloaf mixture. Makes a quick and delicious au jus. I always add a bit, say 1-2 teaspoons, to even poultry based sauces, soups, and gravies to lend complexity to the flavors and to deepen the color. Rub it on steaks before grilling them. Rub on your prime rib before roasting. No one will know what that extra je-ne-sais-quoi secret is that makes it taste so heavenly.

I always use Minors soup bases for homemade soup and for flavoring stir fry meals when just a little extra flavored liquid is needed. I keep it refrigerated after opening and it keeps a long time. Is much more practical than that he liquid chicken and beef broth that comes on a carton or can. Less waste as you only make exactly the amount you need . the canned and carton broths don't keep very long once opened. I never add any salt when using Minors as it has enough sodium in it. I highly recommend it. Is not easy to find, but Bolo usually has it.
