Length is fine, gives you around enough length to attack your bike for example to a post and make it feel secure. I def recommended it’s for its good quality and not expensive as other options.

It works like any other with similar quality but it comes with a mount, you could mount to say, bike seat post. That right makes life easier vs all the other cable locks without attachment method that just hang out there. Price is right too.

The mount was useless for me - my top bar is oval. I tried the seat post but it slid down and got damaged by the back tire of my Mt. Bike. So I coil it around the top bar and it's fine. It's a pretty thick cable. I feel safe with it. And the combo is both secure and easy to change.

Unfortunately it’s a really good lock as it’s not easily cut. Would be very difficult to steal anything it locks up… However when it fails to open that’s not helpful!Bought this for my daughter to use while in Atlanta. Right away, we changed the code so she would be able to remember one she established. You attest the side dial and set the new code. We did that and tested the new code several times before locking up her bike.The next day I put the lock together and locked up her bike. She was able to unlock it herself and rode to a local Target. When she arrived, she called me and asked if I had difficulty putting the lock back together when I used it, I said no, although it was a bit “stiff”. I told her to push it together and that should be fine. She did eventually, locked the bike, and went into the store. When she came out, she could not open the lock. She tried several times and it would not unlock despite having unlocked for me, and for her. She asked for help, tried lubricating it (since it was stiff), and nothing would work. The lock would not open.She asked for help from Target employees and security. Even though they could not get it open. They tried cutting it with typical bolt cutters and it could not be cut. It took a locksmith to open it and they used specialized cutting tools.So while this is a great lock that is not easily cut, I am having a hard time giving it more than one star because she used it three times before it wouldn’t open. It’s being returned.

This bike lock works! Had someone in Portland, Oregon try (and failed) to steal my bike (see pic). First, they attempted to cut the cable (Fail) and then they tried to torque the combination part off with a wood rod (Epic Fail). Picture shows what was left after their poor attempts.

The lock was cut and bike stolen
I had my bike locked using this product and someone was able to cut through and steal the bike. I wouldn't recommend this product. My bike was at a train station so the perpetrator would have to be relatively quick.I'll have to go with another option maybe a chain.
