best filters at a good price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good filter for coffee maker
I've been using these filters for a few years and I'm very pleased. Removes chemicals leaving just a clean water taste, which improves the overall taste of the coffee. I do change them every 6 weeks as recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars They work fine.
Capresso's charcoal filters seem to work. Coffee tastes better, I think. Very easy to remove and install, though I'm a little worried about the lifespan of the plastic hinge on the filter holder.Watch it -- there are a couple of different varieties. This is a round one. There's also an oval-ish one that's mis-labeled in Bolo as "Capresso 121.01 Ultima Semi-Automatic Coffee and Espresso/Cappuccino Machine"[..] The link is for the filters, not the machine, and so it might not come up correctly when you search for filters.
4.0 out of 5 stars Clean Water = Excellent Coffee
Beginning with the Coffee Team Plus, Capresso introduced the concept of a water filter in the water tank of their automatic coffee makers. If you use tap water, the filter is a wonderful idea. It removes impurities and chlorine before the water is heated. Clean water and a clean coffee maker = great coffee. The manufacturer's recommendation is to change filters every 6 weeks or 60 pots of coffee. I usually change them every two months, or so. I imagine the effectiveness of the filter may depend on the quality of the water you use. I haven't had a problem yet.Usage tip: Each filter is individually wrapped in plastic to keep it fresh until opened. When you open a filter, first soak it in cold water for about 15 minutes. Then rinse it under running water for another minute or two until the water dripping from the filter is clear. If you still see black particles dripping from the filter, run a pot of water through the coffee maker, with the new filter inserted, without coffee beans and discard the water afterward, or use the water for plants (when it is cooled, of course.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Capresso filters
A few years ago I took the plunge and bought a quality coffee maker. We love our Capresso with the stainless steel thermal caraf. The bonus filtration you get with these charcoal filters is nice. I installed a whole house, commercial type water filtration (not a softener) system over (30) years ago to get rid of some of the hard water, the clorine and minerals we have in our South Western PA public water system. It uses a multi-phase filter system that includes charcoal too. But the added filter inside the Capresso machine takes it one step further and we end up with great tasting coffee every time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fits well
These fit well in my Capresso 444 coffee maker. Fits into the clear holder in the water tank.
3.0 out of 5 stars Capresso water filter - not really necessary
As much as I love Capresso products - this one is questionable. You might wonder what I mean by this - well, first of all look at the costs for just three filters. Second: If you use these filters as recommended on the package (60 uses or 6 weeks) then just do the math.Yes, you will pay in one year more than the cost of your coffee maker. I have a Capresso coffee maker that cost over $200 and I love it but cannot afford these filters. To beat this unnecessary filter and its expense, this is what you do. Simply use filtered water. Quality filtered water will be without all the particles and contaminants that will hurt your coffee maker. Then, follow the coffee maker's instructions regarding its cleaning - like using white vinegar to keep the system free of harmful calcification.Manufacturers are in business to make money and they will sell you whatever you believe you must buy - these filters are not necessary!
It works
I tried the generic one that was much cheaper but it definitely didn’t work, as the filter kept bobbing out of place whenever I poured water into the machine. Spend the money on the real thing, folks. This one works as advertised.
