This was a replacement for a 40+ years old Swingline stapler that finally 'gave up the ghost'. I'm so glad I stayed with the same brand. I had absolutely no idea how heavy my old Swingline was! This one is much more comfy to use. It's so much lighter. But let me assure you it's not a lightweight when it comes to doing a good job. It's so much faster to use...because I don't have to stop to rest my (almost 80 year old) wrist! It also uses any standard-size staples, not just Swingline, although this item does come with (Swingline) staples AND a staple remover. I recommend it. A well-made product. I've been using Swingline staplers all my life. I have to say that although this one has plastic where steel used to be, it still works just fine. The staple remover is extra. I'll keep it for a spare.
It's a very nice stapler
Its not the nicest stapler I've ever seen. I've seen ones in office settings with rubberized grips and full metal frames, etc. But for a standard, cost effective, average Joe stapler, this one feels sturdy and does the job. Those more expensive ones fit office settings better anyway, because they would have to stand up to brutal daily use. :P
