Plug in the Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you’ll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That’s not to say you can’t add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn’t fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. I wouldn't use it with a busted outlet or anything like that - it is a polarized plug.The lid gets hot, obviously, and I wouldn't bother getting the kernels out of the bottom, until after it's cooled down. If you take off the lid, just after it's done, and leave it off too long - as it cools, it can warp.Plain and simple - if you can't read instructions or want to use it non-stop, don't buy this. To everyone else, I absolutely recommend this! The popcorn doesn't burn, it pops most of the kernels (depending on their freshness and quality - yes, it matters 100%).

This is amazing for making air-popped popcorn without any oil, but you'll definitely want butter on top regardless, otherwise it can feel a bit too bland.For a popcorn maker, I'd say it's quite affordable. It's pretty easy to clean, and it doesn't take up too much space when you need to store it away.The actual butter melting tray at the top is just okay though. It would probably work better with pre-softened butter, because most chunks of butter only get about 1/3 melted before the popcorn is done popping, so be aware that you'll probably still have to melt your butter yourself.

So this popcorn maker works very well. I actually love air popped popcorn. It’s very easy to use and makes a fluffy popped kernel. The reason I took off a star is because there are a lot of unpopped kernels that get through. I’ve tried using more and less kernels but it doesn’t seem to matter. The unpopped kernels fly all over the place. When this stops working I’ll try a different brand.

The media could not be loaded. This popper is same as the Presto Poplite which I purchased about ten years ago. I gave the first one away (it was still working correctly). Now I am back into air popped corn. My first purchase worked great so I decided to purchase this popper. As of the date of this review I have been using this popper for about one week, so this review is strictly on performance. If anything changes in the future I will update this review.I purchased a new container of a national brand popcorn kernels. Using the supplied measuring cup I powered up the popper and the popping began after a couple of minutes or so. Before the popped corn fell into the bowl there was only about three kernels in the bowl (photo 1). After the power cord was unplugged there was only about 3 or 4 kernels remaining in the popper (photo 2). See the attached video to see the popping in progress.A note on storing popcorn kernels... The condition of the kernels can effect the success of a good popcorn run no matter what brand of popper is used. The fresher the kernel the better. Kernels can dry out over time. I used a vacuum sealer to seal two cup batches (photo 3). Whatever method is used, the key is to minimize air exposure.For melting butter I use it soft and at room temperature in the measuring cup/butter melter. If the butter is hard or cold it will not completely melt before the kernels finish popping. Maybe if the cup was made of metal instead of plastic maybe it would work better.Some reviews did not like this popper because it does not have a power switch. For my personal use this is not a problem. I will take performance as a trade off.

The media could not be loaded. Works great! Pops my popcorn perfectly every time! Love that the back of the machine has a spot to keep the power cord wrapped up for easy storage. Keeping the power cord wrapped up also has an another function for me (which you will see in my video), it keeps the top clear plastic part attached to the base of the machine. Some popcorn is denser than others so sometimes the popcorn doesn’t “jump” out of the machine and stays in the inside of the machine once popped. Once it sounds like all the kernels are popped, I unplug the machine and tip it upside down to get the remaining popcorn out (normally I take the measuring cup off the top before doing so, I forgot in my video and it fell off). Since I have the power cord wrapped around the top and base part of the machine, when I tip it upside down the top clear part does not fall off, it stays in place! Yes I could just take the top off before dumping it but it is very hot to touch, easier to keep it all connected! I don’t like to leave cooked popcorn sitting in the machine after cooking since it’s hot, I don’t want the popcorn to burn, want to dump it out right away!I personally don’t like using the measuring cup on top to melt butter, I strictly use it for measuring the popcorn kernels. I find it easier to melt my butter in a glass measuring cup in the microwave, easier to pour on the popcorn!I would like to point out that different sizes, brands and types of popcorn kernels all act different while popping! When you are popping small kernels you are more likely to have the kernels pop out of the machine before they are popped (beware they are hot to the touch). And with small kernels the popcorn itself is lighter and once cooked all comes out of the popcorn machine. Big popcorn kernels don’t pop out of the machine as much while cooking and the popcorn itself is denser. The bigger/denser popcorn doesn’t always come out of the machine, it needs to be dumped out after it’s done cooking. You can experiment for yourself on different kinds of popcorn!Overall my family and I are loving our new popcorn machine since our last one from the 1980’s finally bit the dust! We make popcorn almost every night and we recommend this machine!

I live in europe and assumed that products sold on Bolo.de would bee 220V. This is 110V so I had to return it.
Not for UK market
Just bought it , I missed that has US plug and thus incompatible. Also seller is mentioned in Bolo as Juniper UK but there is no such thing, after contacting the seller was told that they are in the US only so I will have to pay the cost for returning.
Seller is in USA, this is 120v with a US plug. Can't be used in UK
Seller misrepresented themselves as a UK seller called Junipers-UK. Have now changed to Junipers-USA. This item is useless here. And they want me to pay postage to send it back, to the USA! DO NOT BUY.
