I got this to replace the Aroma model. I’ve had it a week and made rice 4 times. The rice comes out perfect every time and the rice maker is super easy to use. I like the simple controls. The nonstick coating on the cooking pan is perfect. No rice has stuck at all and is easily removed with the plastic scoop. The price was great for the quality of the cooker. The design is well thought out; I’m not worried about this model getting moldy like my old Aroma cooker did because the cooking pan seals off the heating element and the glass lid is extremely easy to clean. I’ve only made 1 cup and 2 cups of rice so far, so I can’t speak to the 6 cup capacity. Also, like others have said, when the rice is cooking, the water does bubble up and does come out of the cooker a tiny bit. I just put it near my sink and there really isn’t much of a mess to clean up so this is a minor issue. It mainly just bubbles up on top of the lid and doesn’t overflow everywhere. The cooker is compact and easy to store. I hope it lasts a long time like the other reviews say because it is a phenomenal rice cooker and the rice comes out perfect every time. Also, it cooks the rice quickly, maybe 15 mins or so. It’s quiet also. I highly recommend this rice cooker for anyone who likes perfectly cooked rice at the flip of a switch.

After considerable pressure from my daughter, whose Asian friend says their family's rice cooker is in use pretty much 24/7, we decided to buy one for our family. After researching quite a few models, I went with the Zojirushi because of its simple design and good reputation. It was a fine decision. We use this thing all the time. My kids love being able to cook rice for themselves.Pros* Controls - strike that, control singular - so simple that even your grandma who could never quite bring herself to use a cordless phone can't mess it up* Very easy to clean* Rice tastes much better than what you get with the stovetop* Works well whether you're cooking a lot at once or just one side servingCons* Does not require you to hook it up to WiFi, install an app on your phone, and confirm your identity just to make it stop impersonating a WiFi access point [OK, this is only a con according to engineers who work for LG]Other Thoughts*Saying it cooks 3 cups is a poor translation - it cooks up to 3 gou of rice, with a gou being a standard measure in Japan of enough dry rice for an entree-size serving. A gou is 180 cubic centimeters, or roughly 3/4 of an American "cup" measurement. Americans tend to serve rice as a side dish, and I find half a gou per person works well. As far as I can tell all rice cookers, even American and European brands, measure their capacity in gou but confusingly call it cup in English. The bottom line is that if you want to use American measuring cups with a rice maker, then figure a 3-cup cooker can only take 2 cups.*Don't worry if Uncle Ben isn't familiar with measurements in gou. To cook rice, all you need is the ratio of water to rice, which is usually 3:2 but can be different for certain rice varieties. In other words, if Uncle Ben says put in 2 cups of rice and 3 cups of water, but you just want to cook a 1/2 gou, you put in your 1/2 gou of rice and add 3/4 gou of water.*The cooking bowl lifts out for easy cleaning. I clean it along with the lid and accessories with a bit of soap and a sponge [sponges without an abrasive side are available on Bolo or at many Asian grocery stores]. A few quick swipes, rinse twice, and it's done.

We got tired of the newer rice cookers with all the useless buttons so we went back to the more traditional ones. One button and cooks on time and the rice comes out perfect. It is pricey but will last a long time and it is worth it for the price. We have two adults and 1 child in the household, so this works perfect for a small family of even four people. We cook rice every morning. The only thing you need to always remember, is to unplug it after the rice is done.

Had to buy a baby elephant brand rice cooker because Uncle Roger recommended them, but didn't want one of the more expensive and complex multifunction ones. So bought this basic one on sale, and it does the job well. Easy to match rice to water levels, cooks all rice grains well, not too sticky and not too dry, and cleans up easily. The only thing I don't like, is that the lid doesn't fit well, could be a touch larger, so took a star off. Otherwise, I use it weekly, and am pleased with the purchase!

Amazing, multiuse, and easy to clean. I was worried the manual might be unclear on how to use it based on reviews, but the instructions are very detailed. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to prep and cook your rice, it even has a list of various vegetables it can steam, how long to steam for, as well as a rice pudding recipe!

Works great. Replaced an old Panasonic with this and have been very happy with the quality of the rice cooking and ease of cleanup. I was hesitant because some reviewers said it was really slow, but I haven't found that to be the case. I think it works comparable to my old rice cooker and I expect to use this one for many years to come.
