PRO - Excellent depth of field and razor sharp clarity. After you use these at dusk, or dawn you’ll be spoiled for anything else. Waterproof and optics are sealed so they never fog up internally. Rugged coating protects well against wear and drops. Great case is nicely padded with smooth zippers.CON - Sold as Military-Marine, but for marine use, you’ll certainly need to buy the optional floating neck strap. Not sure why some reviewers complain about how heavy these binoculars are, that comes with great optics and thick armor.

I'm a retired veteran. I have been many places in my 20 year career, most of them in forward locations. I've always used Steiner binocs. They have the sharpest optics, are the most durable in extreme environments. I pulled a pair out of a wet sand-dune, rinsed them with some canteen water, blew on the optics and they were, of course ready to go. Ice, rain, mud, sand, hard-knocks, it doesn't matter, your Steiners are always there and ready to go. This pair I have will last for decades, I love them.

I’d give these 5 stars if they were just a bit lighter, as they can grow heavy around one’s neck if you wear them for more than a couple of hours (unless you are a wrestler😂). Very good lenses and are easy to focus.

Not as promised visually...No way distance is accurate as claimed....Live on a river about 10 feet from the banks and can't even read the boat names...

These binoculars are so great its hard to put into words. We took them to Alaska and we were the only couple able to get a good look at grizzlies off in the distance. So worth it.

These binocs are super well built and extremely high quality for the price. You could buy better, but the price would have to double before you could see the difference. They are a bit heavy, but that should be expected with such heavy armor protection.Keep in mind that these do NOT focus like traditional binocs. There is no central focus knob. You focus each eye separately on a distant target then use them at various ranges. They have a very long depth of field which means that you do NOT have to refocus on objects within that focal range. In simple terms, focus once then observe objects at any range.It is amazing at how bright and clear things appear in these binocs.Highly recommended.
Steiner military-marines are wonderful
This is a well constructed optic device. It is robust and a little heavy. Water resistance is reliable and effective. The clarity and light gathering is top knotch. I have had other binocs, but this is one of the best and certainly the best performance for the dollars invested. I've had my first Steiner binocs since 1989; still working well. One caveat: I did lose an eyepiece. They can work out with use. If you are not careful, they can be lost. Steiner supports their devices with all necessary parts.

Mit Sicherheit ein tolles Glas. Eben Steiner. Leider konnte ich es nicht testen, weil ich wegen unseriösen Machenschaften des Verkäufers die Annahme verweigert habe. Kündigt die Sendung elektronisch bei DHL an, übergibt sie aber nicht, weil er erst 4 Wochen später liefern kann aber kassiert sofort den Kaufpreis. Fantastic binoculars, I've been wanting them for years. They went on sale and I immediately bought them. Auto focus works great, remember these are for long range. I have heard some people like bird watchers have issue with close range with this system. If you ever want to understand why some of these are so expensive, go to a local store and pick up a cheap pair and an expensive par with the same specs eg 7x40 and compare what you see. It's not just build quality, it's also the glass that is important.
